@joleary Not quite Rest in Peace, but...

Confirmation that we won’t get any bans before preview season is finished, (or I’m guessing Lille given the part about not doing it close to events.) I think it’s really close to the point where bans should be considered, but coming from other games it genuinely feels like locally, and at the RQ level things aren’t quite bad enough with another set dropping soon. Recent Magic players will tell you how bad both Nadu and Vivi era’s got, and Riftbound feels so much better than that. Maybe it’s just that the best-of cards are covering over the worst of the issue for now, but in every RQ this year other than Vegas, there’s been a decent amount of different decks putting up results. Imo we’re one hate piece away from Miracle not being so reliable, so I’m looking forward to seeing Unleashed previews to see if there’s anything there. I’d love to see a card that banishes your opponent’s trash like Magic’s ‘Rest In Peace’, which would make Rhasa and Last Rites less effective. Or a punishment for playing multiple spells per turn like ‘Damping Sphere’. Either way I’m glad the team are talking about it. The worst thing would be letting sentiment fester without addressing it.
