Video games are a male hobby, the difference is men are fine with you being in their hobby as long as you're not annoying. It's sort of like how make up is a predominantly female hobby/industry. Men aren't bitching that you guys also get 75% market share of every clothing store either, cause we get it. Women buy more clothes than men it makes sense. Just like how men buy more video games than women do. But it's funny how only one side of this upsets you

@ToomiYuna Video games are a visual medium first and an interactive medium second. You literally cannot play without video. And anyone would watch a video of a fame before playing a video game with no video. And actually the definition of fan can be looked up and has no such specifics.

@ToomiYuna Actually it's like saying you can be a fan of a book by listening to an audio book, which is absolutely true and was settled a while ago in the literature community. It's actually quite funny that you would make this comparison when it goes against your point so much.

@BringBackBanjoK It's a preference. Some people turn off all audio when they play games. I think that's weird but it's the way they prefer to experience it. Imagine claiming a deaf person couldn't be a fan of movies because they can't fully experience it without the audio.

@alucardol666 @curdled1984 @RespectElves But you can experience the interactivity second hand from watching gameplay. I have watched and played telltale games. Both experiences are very similar. It depends on what type of game it is, but in some cases the experiences really aren't that different.

I still don't see why someone can't be a fan without personally playing it themselves because they still get to see all aspects of it including the interactions.
