🚨BREAKING: Sen. Kennedy’s bill just moved forward, and it hits Congress where it hurts: NO paycheck for senators during a shutdown. If they can’t keep the government open, why should taxpayers keep paying them? Do you firmly support this? A. Huge Yes B. No IF Yes, Give me a THUMBS-UP👍!! MAKE THIS GO VIRAL ON 𝕏. LET’S GO 👏

Be honest because I’m trying to prove a point Would you back your child or grandchild's decision to attend trade school rather than college?

@530BruceRoss This doesn't "resolve" the challenge, people have the right to work where they want to work, but there will always be 'a remnant' who walk into the flame with joy and thanksgiving. it operationalizes your values.

@MissyPurcell Teachers who know how to teach students with dyslexia & materials/curriculum available to them with training on implementing with fidelity. What we really have is a lack of capacity & access to materials to support teachers in their work. We must fix this!

My wishes for 2026 are simple: the things families shouldn’t still be fighting for. Dyslexia awareness isn’t optional. “Wait to fail” shouldn’t exist. Parents are partners. IEPs must be followed. MTSS can’t delay Child Find. Progress monitoring must be real. These aren’t lofty goals. They’re the law. Here’s to moving advocacy forward in 2026. #NewYearGoals #IEP #DyslexiaAwareness #IDEA #ParentAdvocate

I swear to you. No teacher is holding back their "super-secret" teacher secrets to keep kids from reading. Training, materials, and leadership have to improve. When you know how to teach a kid to read, you'll change schools before you hide it under a bushel.

@BenisonMrs “Let me say this as dispassionately as possible. If your views on instructional practices are shaped not by evidence, data or even common sense, but are instead a knee-jerk response to people whose politics you despise, you have lost the plot.” fordhaminstitute.org/national/comme…

@karenvaites @huffakingit Insane! It’s a sad pattern of behaviors that negatively impacts my profession. I’m so tired of hearing these stories. How much time is being wasted by schools who would rather defend practices that aren’t working, when doing the right thing would be easier & make more sense?

Remember Kyle from Lexington, the dad filing FOIAs to get to the bottom of the district’s allegiance to #TCRWP Units of Study? He uncovered more than unethical literacy practices. @huffakingit reports on the district’s efforts to chase him away with exorbitant FOIA fees. @lexingtonsuper

Dear Parents—your child doesn’t need to be the smartest in the class, the best on the field, or the most talented in the room. But they do need to be teachable. We’ve raised a generation that can Google every answer, but too many are forgetting how to listen, respect, and learn. Being teachable isn’t about grades or intelligence—it’s about humility. It’s about realizing you don’t know everything and being willing to grow when someone tries to help you. As parents, we don’t need to raise perfect kids. We need to raise kids who can take feedback without falling apart. Who can apologize. Who can show respect even when they disagree. Who can be corrected without becoming combative. Because teachability will take them further than talent ever will.
