I stayed in NYC and the hotel had the most amazing smell. I kept commenting to my friend “it smells so amazing” “omg what is that smell.” I did research and found out the smell was created in house and they put into the HVAC system so the entire hotel smelled of deliciousness. Anyways I did more research and found a company who replicates hotel smells and bought the smell from them. So now my home smells like the hotel and I feel joy.

@lukeburgis @Airbnb A similar thing happened with VRBO. Owner actually charged my card for $2500. I disputed with my bank and they sided with me (thankfully). Never again!

My wife, daughter, and I stayed at an @Airbnb in NYC in November. Perfectly normal stay. Nothing happened. When we left, the owner said there was a small stain on the hardwood floor he couldn't clean and said it took him $7500 to fix, including literally replacing floorboards. We know nothing about this, saw nothing, looks totally unfamiliar. Feels like insurance fraud, or something? AirBNB took his side because we couldn't provide a picture of the floor at the exact minute we walked out the door. Are you kidding me? Has anyone else had an experience with AirBNB like this? Any attorneys who know how to deal with this sort of absurd claim?

In my honest opinion I would usually agree that the mature thing to do would be to say you can stay friends with people who voted opposite of you and disagree politically. That would require the opposing side to have a modicum of civility. They want to take rights away from people. You don’t get grace for supporting that. You don’t get to sing Kumbaya when you realize how bad your position actually is.

The single worst thing about Trump to me will always be how much he's changed people. I've watched friends and relatives become entirely new, worse people in the wake of his political rise. Like it's not merely that he's a terrible guy, it's that he's ruined people.
