I’m a bit distracted by Black Flag Resynced right now because the game is fantastic. 🏴‍☠️ But dear Ubisoft, I still haven’t forgotten about Shadows and all the potential my favourite setting could have reached if you didn’t give up on the game. And I’m already really hyped for Hexe. The premise is incredibly interesting, and I love the darker setting. Please surprise us again the way you did with Black Flag Resynced, or better.🙏 #AssassinsCreed #BlackFlagResynced #ACShadows #ACHexe

The point here is to defend the future of physical media. Just because it isn’t implemented perfectly and still has issues, like digital locks or parts of the game needing to be downloaded, does that mean it should disappear completely and we should just surrender to the PS Store’s digital monopoly? Is that really the conclusion you’re trying to reach?

@KinLost1 @GAMER_BOI_83 @PlayStation A patch yes, an online block no. I remember this year this is the second game that the disc demands a download or it will not work. Crimson Desert had the same issue.

A digital copy that still comes with a physical disc, which means I can resell it or lend it to someone. A 100% digital copy doesn’t let me do that. And for example, the physical PS5 version of the Bleach game is €26 ~ 34€ in local stores where I live, while it’s €69 on the PS Store. Even if it’s only partially on the disc, I still love having both options.

@KinLost1 @MADWARZLiTe @PlayStation Letting devs do this is part of the problem. It shows them you are ok with shipping half a game and downloading the rest. You don’t really have a choice here BUT to have a digital copy even though you bought a physical disc.

@MADWARZLiTe @KinLost1 @PlayStation Ven aca, todo el mucha gente se queja de digital, el juego no esta completo en el disco y ay que bajar el resto pero tu repuesta es “pero lo puedo revender!!” So solo que parte del juego esta en el disco to esta bien? Ok.

Honestly, I don’t even know what you’re talking about bc I put the disc in, it copied the data to my PS5, and that was it. And we all know physical games still need to download data these days, and that’s fine. But if I want to resell the game, lend it to someone, or collect an actual disc instead of an empty box with a code that just creates unnecessary plastic, I can. I don’t really get what your issue with physical media is.

I agree, and I think that's one of the reasons the franchise has been so successful. Every game is good, even if some are clearly better than others. And even then, a lot of it comes down to personal taste. For example, Odyssey is one of my top 5 favorites, so I definitely wouldn't consider it the worst. But that's just my personal preference

as many times as assassins creed fucked up, this franchise doesn’t have a single “bad” game, its worst game, odyssey, is mid. they’re all fun experiences and this franchise deserves all the sales it gets, black flag Resynced is a HUGE improvement, here’s hoping for better from now on…
