@clarice_willow @1goodtern @lkw7514 True and they’re usually brilliant. This time unfortunately, it comes across ambiguously, unless you have the original conference statement as context. It does sound as though they want to blame the vaccine, whereas they mean Covid infection itself was ignored by the experts.

@SharonBurnabyBC Fantastic initiative to reduce transmission of infections and reduce school absences. (Note: the article mentions carbon dioxide buildup but HEPA filters don’t remove CO2).

@1goodtern We desperately need BOTH: education on preventing airborne infections AND on hand washing to prevent illnesses like gastro. I’m constantly seeing people leave public toilets without handwashing or they wave hands under the tap for 2 seconds. High touch surfaces give me the creeps

They want you infected. That's why they tell you to wash your hands to protect against airborne diseases you catch by inhalation.

@1goodtern True. But at least it’s one place where staff can be asked to mask 🤷🏻‍♀️. A low bar, but it’s something. Won’t fix any ventilation/air quality concern though.

Almost one month ago a young woman named #VioletAffleck made a speech at the UN that inspired hope in many people around the world. This parody song celebrates her (2nd Verse) & hopefully also acts as a kind of 'pick me up' to all those still masking, often completely alone.😷✊

Scientists have been studying remote work for 4 years and have reached a very clear conclusion: “Working from home makes us thrive” Flexible work boosts well-being and focus—people sleep more, commute less, eat better, and spend more time with family while maintaining results.
