Whomever the ‘reliable’ source who told you that clearly had no idea what Australians were actually told. Because the officials of the day never promised there would never be another mass shooting. What they did say however was the laws would decrease the likelihood and the frequently which they clearly have. But never let the truth get in the way of a good beat-up.
