@ClimbingCoachX Qualifications are held with 6 specific regions, only certain teams qualify from each of those regions. We are technically not getting the top 48 teams in the world. For example, Curaçao is ranked 83rd in the world and Italy 12th.

@AriWasserman More logic: Teams from the SEC that are beat-up and worn down are less likely to run a gauntlet of this expanded Playoff than a top-heavy conference like the B1G which has more two more teams but only about four legitimately good teams every season (meaning 14 speed bump teams).

BREAKING: Bloomington Police make an arrest in the Little 500 weekend shooting that left several people injured on a busy Kirkwood Avenue. 18-year-old Lewis May is charged in connection with injuring two of the people shot. He faces charges of battery with a deadly weapon, criminal Recklessness, shooting a firearm into an occupied vehicle, and pointing a firearm. According to the probable cause May was identified about an hour after police released surveillance video of him last week. The footage showed an initial altercation began directly in front of Five Guys on Kirkwood Avenue between the two females. During the altercation, police say Lewis enters the frame holding a semi-automatic firearm and begins waving it toward the crowd. Police say as he confronts one of the females, the firearm discharges, striking the sidewalk. The crowd then disperses, and May is seen leaving the area with the gun. Several people recognized May from working at Taco Bell in Bloomington. May's initial hearing is at 1PM today.
