@RuneLinding @schneiderleonid @GerardMeijssen @King_AWT @kamerlinlab @RetractionWatch But surely, both of you may agree that such irregularities are not the norm, and not necessarily higher than those in any other human activity.

I think @kamerlinlab (&others) deserve a medal for defending (really graciously&pro bono) the best interests of the scientific community vs this political initiative. Imagine Brexit or the Berlin Wall but in scientific terms, this is a plausible scenario now. I hope to be wrong

The real problem for me is the forceful nature of plan-s. More time for discussion between scientists on how to best solve our publishing issues is needed.

@GerardMeijssen @pereabuc @schneiderleonid @kamerlinlab I don't see collective obfusication and deceit in our scientific community. Maintaining quality of peer review is implicit and at risk. Open access is for sure a worthy ideal. However, engagement of scientists with the public and politicians to interpret the science is better

@King_AWT @pereabuc @schneiderleonid @kamerlinlab Do you realise that people do not believe in science? What better way to show science than by making it available! How can I trust scientists and their organisations when what I notice is obfusication and often deceit?
