Tomorrow marks one month since I lost my dad. Life during and after my NYSC year became incredibly difficult after the accident. I had to put everything on hold and return home to care for my father, especially as caregivers kept leaving due to the stress. But one thing brings me comfort, I was there with him until the very end. My dad lived a full and meaningful life. Losing a parent is deeply painful, but this is also a celebration of his life, and I find peace in knowing that he is now at rest. On the 21st of this month, 2025, I will be laying my dad to rest. I’ve cried countless tears in private, and not a day goes by that I don’t miss you, Daddy. 🤍

SOMETHING HAPPENED YESTERDAY AT THE #AkwaIbomXHangout So I want to use this opportunity to say this; the government sees our tweets/posts. If it concerns them they’ll respond directly or subtly. That’s being said, let me go straight to the point. We’ve been talking about the Akwa Ibom X hangout for two weeks straight on this app. While it felt like people didn’t want to engage at first, it started gaining traction. I remember someone’s comment when he said, “Na 30 people una wun use do hangout” as if we wanted to host 10,000 people 😂 Anyways as the days were passing, people were buying tickets and joining the group. I never knew the “government people” saw our tweets and were watching calmly. On Sunday, two SAs to the governor attended the event to our surprise, alongside other amazing people from the Akwa Ibom X community who could make out time to come. The event was going on as usual. After the games, the banter, and all, we had a conversation session when people started talking about a lot of things concerning the Akwa Ibom community. That’s was when someone said he didn’t have a job, another person joined. The SAs simultaneously and randomly asked the two guys what they studied and what they’ll love to do. Cut the long story short, one or two calls were placed. One of the attendees is on his way to the military and the other on his way to an Oil company in Rivers State, from just phone calls. They came in unemployed and left as potential employees. And these were done with no political interest or affiliation, just an effect of a vibrant community coming together. There is a lot to gain in building a community, the government sees everything that happens and we can be element of change if we engage positively. I want to say a big thank you to everyone that turned up for us. You all are the true MVPs. This community will get bigger in the right direction.

Everytime I'm still shocked with this act till date. Last year, after Baddy had his surgery and we updated the public. I got a DM. The DM was even in the segment of DM of people I wasn't following. Account had a few over 300 followers, before I responded I went through the account's page just to be sure it wasn't a scam page . Saw a few activities on the page and few reposts. The Account just recently followed me. Next, she introduced herself to me. She goes, Thank you Doc for everything you do on TL. I also smiled and said you're welcome. She then says she wants to also give back , and she wants to sponsor someone's heart surgery, that if I knew anyone with Heart problems that needs money for a surgery, she is willing to pay. She was just touched and wants to do it for someone. Any valve replacement or heart surgery, Just let me know Doc, I'll cover the Bill. She had budgeted 80 million naira for the person. Around the same time, A family reached out to me through a mutual about their daughter who had a Hole in the Heart and needed money for surgery. They have exhausted their finances on tests, hospital bills, etc I later sent her a DM, that I have found someone that qualifies for a Heart surgery. She was super excited to sponsor the family. I was touched, A small account that was barely active on Twitter but was ready to invest in surgery of a random person she didn't know. One of the greatest acts I've witnessed.
