The true Church consists only of those who have been Born Again by grace through faith. Salvation comes by hearing the Word, experiencing Holy Spirit conviction, repenting, and believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God, being drawn by the Spirit into new life. Salvation is not obtained through water baptism, confirmation, church membership, rituals, sacraments, or human works. It is entirely the result of God’s grace received through faith.

-In Luke 15:7,10, the joy is God’s joy, happening in heaven, and it is in the presence of the angels. It is not believers who have departed. -Revelation 6:9–11 is not talking about departed believers in general. It is describing a specific group of Tribulation martyrs, symbolically portrayed under the altar, crying out for justice, and told to wait until God completes His plan. - Revelation 5:8 and 8:3–4 do NOT support praying to departed believers or Mary. The Passages show angels presenting symbolic incense with prayers of believers to God, not departed saints or Mary receiving prayers.

Pray just means “to ask.” The saints are alive in Christ and already pray for us. Scripture also shows heaven aware of what happens on earth: rejoicing over repentance (Lk 15:7, 10), martyrs aware of ongoing events on earth (Rev 6:9–11), and heavenly elders presenting the prayers of the saints before God (Rev 5:8; cf. 8:3–4). Mary doesn’t have to be omniscient. She is in perfect communion with the omniscient God. So what is the biblical basis for saying God cannot make our requests for her prayers known to her?

@ErikhandokoX @MrCasey62 Exodus 20:2–6 does not say ‘images of other gods.’ It forbids making any graven image and bowing before it. Israel’s golden calf was meant to represent Yahweh, and God still called it idolatry. So the commandment applies even when the image represents the true God.

Catholicism teaches a threefold authority—Scripture, Tradition, Magisterium—but Scripture itself never teaches such a structure. Tradition must be tested by Scripture, not paired with it. The Catholic model introduces human authority where God has already spoken clearly, fully, and finally in His Word.

Sacred Scripture = Sacred Tradition. There is one Deposit of Faith.
