Why add something that will likely cause unnecessary drama at this point It creates a chilling effect for anyone seeing it. So authors and artists will actively avoid it.

@MagicMushMM Square Enix is still the most confusing company. They've had a lot of slam dunk chances to rerelease amazing games on Switch. But either cheaped out like with the NA FFX/X2 physical pack, or barely advertised they did like porting every FF game from 1-12 excluding 11.

Out of all the bad ports on Switch, this one has always baffled me the most. They had the perfect opportunity right there, all the KH games on the go, people would have bought the hell out of that, and they fucked it up by making them all Cloud streaming only, no alternatives.

DEI is not a "buzzword", it's a literal business/hiring strategy that has a intentional and direct impact on the culture and priorities of a company. When a company prioritizes identity hiring, the quality of the the product drops (including the features you mention), since by definition you are no longer choosing to hire the most qualified people. You also alienable a chunk of your audience for no good reason, which further places financial pressure on the studio, since backlash will decrease revenue. How many more companies need to crash and burn before people get it?
