The Titan Classic girls 1600 was electric. While only one State record fell - Avery Arens improved on her unratified 5:00 from last week with a 4:56.18 tonight to undoubtably break Rylee Rice’s Class C record of 5:05.25 - 5 of the 8 girls had PBs and 3 went under 5:00. It was exceptional.

Little slow here not like these guys😂…this group broke the 4x1 state record yesterday with a time of 42.04. Previous record was held by Waverly at 42.11. This team has changed a few times and today was no different. Each time someone has stepped up. #Team1st #HWPO

@PrepRunningNerd It's been a tough season - dizzy spells and trouble breathing affected her season but recently got cleared from the cardiologist and pulmonologist after a grueling treadmill stress test but her body still isn't quite right, most likely a lingering virus. Good luck to all at State

Hurt for much of the season, Emma returned for the District meet. She fell during the race - note the dirt covering most of the left side of her body - but recovered to finish 14th and qualify for State. Cross country and resilience are inseparable.
