It's appalling that @MassGovernor would choose to advance impossible/unrealistic conditions for gaining shelter, rather than mobilize all available resources to keep vulnerable families safe and off the streets. The new state EA and overflow family shelter rules must be reversed.

As an alum, I'm proud of the students that are taking part in this cascade of historic demonstrations. A forcible clearing of the quad would be imprudent, put students and allies in danger, and put @TuftsUniversity on the wrong side of history.

Hearing reports from @TuftsUniversity that the administration is considering forcibly clearing the Palestine solidarity encampment as soon as this evening. I will unequivocally condemn any attempts to forcibly clear out this peaceful demonstration or to arrest student protesters.

Police sweeps and academic sanctions against peaceful student protesters should chill us at least as much as the attempted insurrection on Jan 6. The media should be covering and condemning these actions with just as much energy and persistence as they did with Jan 6.
