I would like to sincerely thank H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for appointing my old man, Hon. Sanjay Tanna, as Cabinet Minister for Trade. Congratulations @STanna444 upon your appointment. It is truly an honour to serve the nation alongside my father, and an even greater responsibility to serve Uganda with dedication and humility.

Democracy at it's best. Senegal president fired his Long term political ally and friend Sonko from the position of PM, Only for Sonko to turn up and be elected as the Speaker/ President of the National assembly.

OFFICIAL! Ousmane Sonko has been overwhelmingly elected President of National Assembly of Senegal, strengthening his political influence and setting up a direct institutional rivalry with President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. VIVA Comrade Sonko, Longlive President SONKO ! Down with French Puppet Faye DOWN!!

@SoloKing02 With all due respect to Zaake, He can't effectively manage to run the office of LOP, Appointing Zaake would amount to shooting yourself in the foot

We have had humble, outspoken LOPs from time of multiparty Era. Morris Ogenga Latigo (FDC), Nathan Nandala Mafabi (FDC),Philip Wafula Oguttu (FDC), Winnie Kiiza (FDC) (First female LOP) Betty Aol Ochan (FDC), Mathias Mpuuga (NUP), to formerly Joel Ssenyonyi. Why can't we try a troublesome person like Zaake since peace has failed

I am enjoying Senegalese politics, feels like a chess game ♟️😁 So President Faye as you already know sacked his own PM Ousmane Sonko the same guy who basically handed him the presidency (I know everyone is holding unto that strongly). The "Diomaye is Sonko" duo that ran together? Yeah, that bromance is officially over 💀. But here's the wild part: instead of fading away, Sonko is moving his pieces. His PASTEF party still controls parliament, so the Speaker just RESIGNED on Saturday to clear the runway for Sonko to take over the National Assembly himself. Parliament's been called for Tuesday (May 26) to reinstate Sonko's old MP seat (suspended since 2022) and vote in a new Speaker This is the interesting take below.... The man Faye just fired could end up running parliament and checking the president from the other side of the board. King vs. former kingmaker. Senegal really said "watch this movie" 🍿. Damn

@CanaryMugume Government doesn't care about such gathering because they are aimless gathering but let's organise a magnitude of the same kind and #March2Parliament, the state will unleash forms of violence against citizens who are marching to fight against Corruption.

@SheilahGashumba Now what have the villagers done now, for all intents and purposes, I think the proper word for the " Villagers" in this statement should have been Incompetent leaders. I come in Peace.

Akapande wasomye Bubi, Akapande wasomye maaji, atee nga Kasoma Majje. The fight against among was never a fight against Corruption, it was a fight against her threat to power and a fight for preservation & Continuationof FamilyRule.

I have seen posts on Hon Tayebwa from Gen..Muhoozi, from Gen. @sejudav, @MwesigyeFranks, and his online social media promoters. I agree with Gen. @sejudav that we don't have to have Hon Tayebwa as Deputy Speaker of the 12th Parliament. My reasons are different though. You also know what network marketing is all about. Hon. Tayebwa right from his Makerere University days to now in Parliament, he is someone who has perfectly practiced network corruption. He covers his tracks. His corruption hands are all over MDAs. In short Hon Tayebwa is 100 times more corrupt than Hon. Anite Among. If we have security and investigative arms in this country, and if we are bent on fighting corruption, then let government exhibit Hon. Tayebwa's assets and properties the same way they are doing for Anita Among. What is more disturbing, as corrupt though he covers his tracks, why would anyone front him for Deputy Speaker? We need to be serious with eliminating corruption..

Hon. Justice Martha K. Koome, FCIArb, EGH
I was enthused hosting Chief Justice Flavian Zeija and the distinguished delegation from the Judiciary of Uganda during their benchmarking visit to the Employment and Labour Relations Court of Kenya. Our engagement reaffirmed the strong bonds between the Judiciaries of Kenya and Uganda, founded on shared values of justice, constitutionalism, and the rule of law. We exchanged valuable insights on judicial reforms, labour justice, technology integration, and improving access to justice for our people. I commend the Judiciary of Uganda for its commitment to strengthening labour justice systems and fostering judicial transformation. As sister institutions, we remain committed to deepening regional collaboration, mutual learning, and professional cooperation in the service of justice.
