@terrorful79301 Generally the ADA covers things that allow the person to carry on doing things that a person without a disability can do easily. Such as power doors, service animal, etc.so not going to school isn’t applicable.

@terrorful79301 schools are publically funded and required to make reasonable accommodation for disabled people. consider going above your school to a board rep or superintendent and make it clear you know your rights and are prepared to sue (even if you aren’t! lie!)

@terrorful79301 Autism and BPD are completely different. You aren’t going to confuse the two. The problem with diagnosing people with EDs with BPD is that people with EDs often have similar behaviors but caused by the EF.

my insurance called and said that when i’m 18 i will qualify for disability but i don’t want to be tied down like that i want to work and have my own income but i guess it’s nice to know that i have it as an option incase i do need it

@shguria It’s actually true. They use height/growth charts for adolescents, not BMI.

Also saying “it’s for minors” doesn’t really make sense. This applying to minors would mean bmi doesn’t work for anyone under the age of 18 which just isn’t true 🙂‍↔️

i have finished my DBT group for today , another person in the group came up to me and told me that they admired my style … it was very kind , although , i feel rather ashamed that i could not say much in return , i find myself quite poor at social interaction

@terrorful79301 This is not something that can’t change. I was painfully shy when your age and never talked. But as I practiced doing so despite the intense anxiety, things improve. You have to approach the scary feelings or they will never decrease.

Am I wrong for giving my delivery driver a bad rating over her outfit? 🤔 Picture this: You order dinner, pay the fees, leave a tip, and wait for your food to arrive. You go out to meet the driver, and she pulls up looking like she literally just rolled out of bed. Tonight, my delivery driver stepped out of her car wearing full pajama pants, a hair bonnet, and slippers. She was carrying bags from multiple places and a drink, casually shuffling across the wet asphalt in her slippers like this was just a quick trip to her own mailbox. Listen, I am not saying you need to show up in business casual to deliver food. But if you are clocking in to work, handling people's meals, and meeting customers face-to-face at their homes, shouldn't there be a bare minimum standard of presentation? I ended up leaving a low rating because, honestly, what am I rewarding here? The slippers on the wet pavement? The fact that she got dressed half-asleep five minutes before picking up my food? If looking halfway presentable is too much to ask, maybe this isn't the right gig. Am I being too harsh, or has the standard for delivery drivers completely disappeared?
