@catiyas I know you didn’t mean anything negative. We need to normalize conversations on infertility and all of the options available to combat a very common issue. Ppl splitting hairs about IVF vs IUI need to STFU (IMO). At the end of the day we need to protect reproductive freedom.

A thought on conversation dynamics: A guy says he’s doing “IVF” and you know the gist, trying to have a baby, needs treatment to help. A guy says he’s doing “IUI” and that’s not an acronym you know, so you ask and now you’re talking about semen with this guy. Pick your convo.

@catiyas Saying as someone that used IVF to have kids. I’ve had to deal with the stigma of my body not “doing what it’s supposed to”. Having to talk about my reproductive issues isn’t comfortable. Needing to make men feel less uncomfortable in these convos sucks as a justification.

@catiyas Appreciate the point you’re trying to make, but this example sucks. Why should men need to be made comfortable when talking about fertility issues when often times their sperm contributes to the issues. IVF puts the focus on woman’s bodies. Why should that b more acceptable?

@Costco help me understand: I call ahead and order a pizza, provide my name, and am told it will be ready in 30 mins. I wait 30 mins, head to the store, and then wait an additional 30 mins after having to take a number that doesn’t tie to my order?

You'll find that when you treat women like people, people who also like to have sex, having to negotiate it isn't a problem. Your problem is that you have a fundamentally unhealthy relationship with sex, yourself, women, and probably relationships in general.
