The cause and manner of death for Celeste Rivas Hernandez were determined months ago. As stated in the official press release: “The cause and manner of death were determined December 9, 2025.” The repeated claims by TMZ that the Medical Examiner was unable to determine a cause and manner of death due to the condition of her remains were never accurate. They were waiting on toxicology which they were able to get even in her state of decomposition. I have not been perfect in this case, but I have acknowledged when I was wrong. TMZ, on the other hand, reported that Celeste’s remains were still partially frozen when they arrived at the Medical Examiner’s Office and suggested that David Burke (#D4vd) was only recently arrested because a cause and manner of death had just been determined. That information is incorrect. At this point, nearly all of the information they have put out on this case has been false or misleading. I am glad that the facts are finally driving the narrative in this case. Celeste died by being stabbed by an object(s) that caused two penetrating wounds to her torso and caused a liver injury. Toxicology found she was presumptive positive for benzodiazepines and methamphetamine/MDMA. I have personally spoken to witness(es) who told me that David used hard drugs with them. #CelesteRivasHernandez

Here are a few of my thoughts after reading the charging documents. First, it is alleged that on or about April 23, 2025, in Los Angeles County, David Anthony Burke committed the crime of murder. Count 3 further alleges that on or about May 5, 2025, in Los Angeles County, #D4vd committed the crime of unlawful mutilation of human remains. That makes me think the Santa Barbara trip likely had nothing to do with the actual act of murder or dismemberment. The sex crime charges appear to cover the period between September 7, 2023 and September 7, 2024, which would correspond to the time when Celeste was 13 years old and have more serious sentencing. I have also reached out to the Medical Examiner, since the court is authorizing the unsealing of the autopsy report and the Medical Examiner’s investigative report. The Medical Examiner has its own investigators, who have jurisdiction over the body itself when a death occurs, so their findings will be important and should be part of the records that are released. #CelesteRivasHernandez

April 23, 2025 is the date detectives have zeroed in on in the murder of #CelesteRivasHernandez. Just two days earlier, #D4vd announced that presale tickets for the Withered Tour would go on sale on April 23 and proclaimed that he was back. That raises even more questions about who knew what, and when, and who stood to lose the most. Hopefully, more charges are still to come. If David is arraigned this afternoon, I will be there to watch him led into a cage. If he fights the charges, I will be there every day of the trial. Justice for Celeste has begun.

Yesterday marked seven months since #D4vd ’s Tesla was towed with Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s dismembered body in the front trunk. Seven months, and we still have nothing but sealed medical examiner records. A sworn affidavit used to justify sealing those records claimed that LAPD only wanted to ensure they received the report before the public. Yet the report, which should be public, remains sealed. I believe it remains sealed because its contents would spark public outrage and a demand for answers, answers that law enforcement and prosecutors have failed to provide. They have not even held a basic press conference, something routinely done in high-profile cases. A dismembered 14-year-old does not appear to warrant informing the public, even though a murderer, or multiple perpetrators, may still be free among us. As far as I am concerned, this has been a complete failure. I also cannot understand why the family has remained silent. Are they concerned about what they knew? Are they being intimidated? Or is justice for Celeste slowly fading away? Yes, cases can take time, especially when there is no clear starting point. But that is not the situation here. Criminal grand juries also do not investigate indefinitely. In Los Angeles County, criminal grand juries are typically empaneled for 30 days. When a new grand jury is seated, they are provided prior materials, but they did not hear the testimony themselves. In many ways, the process starts over. Since David’s parents appealed, the previous grand jury’s term has now expired. Here we go again. No indictment. No press release. No press conference. No answers. No justice. #CelesteRivasHernandez #Fail

@piersmorgan Apparently they were under 16 year old. We should believe victims cases can be hard to prove and ultimately there may not be enough evidence. He should have been suspended until they could access all the evidence. I guess with the BBC track record they didn’t want to risk it.

I don’t understand this Scott Mills scandal. He was investigated by police 10yrs ago over alleged offences 25+ years ago, but no action was taken and case was closed. Now he gets instantly fired over same thing? The BBC needs to explain why, surely?
