Given how fragile life suddenly seems at present, just a reminder of one of my proudest moments as a parent when I received this email. Everybody remember, whatever happens in the future, memories will always be there. @SchoolAthletics @SuttonDistAC @SySchAthletics

@IanTnf Pretty inspired selection - adding in Amber Anning and Yemi Mary John would certainly worry a few other countries. Problem (as always), would be timetabling at major championships.

Martyn Rooney I'll be wanting a word with you when you get back. You've just broken athletico twitter with that relay line up.

*Walked in with a bottle of champagne* Mum: “What are you celebrating dear?” Me: “Myself.” Made it through. Hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend! ❤️

@maxcouch I have most of her albums and echo everything you've said - she will sorely missed. Her 1988 version of Song for Ireland still gives me the goosebumps when I play it !

Mary Black. Still a total babe, and in her prime was one of the best voices this country has ever produced. And lovely words for her pal Dolores Keane too. Maura O'Connell, Eleanor Shanley, etc.. It was a golden age. Wishing her a long happy retirement. #latelateshow

It took me 42 years but I finally just got round to watching This Is Spinal Tap. Has aged well.

Is there a future for the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre? Earlier this week, plans were submitted to transform the South London centre, including the refurbishment of its athletics stadium, which could be completed by 2028. 📸 @GettyImages

@maxcouch I totally agree with you, and part of that was Peter O'Sullivan's magnificent commentary !

Every time I watch that Dawn Run Gold Cup (and it's well into the many hundreds) the hairs genuinely stand up on the back of my neck (people say this but I mean it in this case) just like they did on the day. There's been no race like it and nothing like it in Cheltenham.

Pretty sure I’m the only person who’d have a chat with Ryan Gosling but be distracted by whether a Finnish, German or Dutch pole vaulter has the second best height this season and gets to go to Torun 😂🕺

Of the others pre-selected, drop outs are needed (in brackets): Owen Heard (2), Lewis Church (4), Georgie Forde-Wells (5) & Ellen Barber (10, 4 already known). Joel Clarke Khan need over 20 drop outs. Molly Caudery got the Q in Rouen.

Of those pre-selected (via the top-list), James McMurray, Josh Kerr, Scott Lincoln, Katie Snowden, Abi Pawlett & Molly Palmer look guaranteed selection with the Q window now shut. Louisa Stoney & Emma Nwofor will move into spots when known non-starters are removed.
James Rhodes@James_Athletics

Fair play to UKA for selecting everyone they could. Not a single gap where there was someone who could potentially fill it - and some people will have long waits for a final Road To list to be published!
