@RaadIbnDawood He shows the dislike of kalam by al Ghazali, Juwayni etc also. He shows all different scholars from the madhahib saying you can do istijnja/istijmar with books of kalaam and mantiq and that its haram to sell and buy them. He quotes the classical salafi books: al Lalakai, Ajuri

@RaadIbnDawood For the ultimate refutation of ilm al kalam and mantiq, read sawn al mantiq by al Suyuti which is one of his later works where he shows he is a Taymi and quotes Abdullah al Ansari and dhamm al kalam the most. He turned Hanbali Salafi in aqeedah 100%. He also quotes only salafis

A number of prominent scholars, such as Ibn Kathīr and al-Dhahabi, narrated the repentance of al-Juwayni (d. 478 AH), one of the most influential Ash‘ari theologians (mutakallimīn), and cited statements such as: ❝O our companions, do not occupy yourselves with kalām (speculative theology). Had I known that kalām would lead me to what it has led me to, I would never have engaged in it.❞ And: ❝I read fifty thousand volumes upon fifty thousand volumes. Then I left the Muslims with their Islam and their outward (exoteric) sciences. I embarked upon the vast, raging sea and plunged into that from which the people of Islam had forbidden. I did all of that in pursuit of the truth. In earlier times, I used to flee from taqlīd, but now I have returned to the word of truth. Hold fast to the religion of the elderly women. If the Truth does not reach me through His subtle grace, and I die upon the religion of the old women, and the end of my affair at my departure is sealed with the declaration of sincerity: Lā ilāha illā Allāh (There is no god but Allah), then woe to Ibn al-Juwayni.❞

Imam Ibn Kathīr (d. 776 AH) said: “Taqi al-Dīn Ibn al-Ṣalāḥ may Allah have mercy on him said: al-Quṭb al-Ṭūghāni informed me twice that he heard Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzi (known as Sulṭān al-Mutakallimīn) say: ‘I wish I had not occupied myself with ʿilm al-Kalām’ and he cried”

Ibn Khuzaymah’s Repentance from His Mujassim Days recorded in Al-Siyar and asma wal sifat — 🧵 al-Bayhaqī the Hadith master narrates: Al-Ḥāfiẓ Abū ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us, saying:“I heard Abū al-Ḥasan ʿAlī ibn Aḥmad al-Zāhid al-Būshanjī say: ’I entered upon ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Ḥātim al-Rāzī in Rayy and informed him of what had occurred in Nishapur between Abū Bakr Ibn Khuzaymah and his companions. He said: “What does Abū Bakr have to do with speculative theology (kalām)? It is more appropriate for both us and him that we not speak about what we have not learned.” I then left him and went to Abū al-ʿAbbās al-Qalānisī, who said: “One of the Qadariyyah among the speculative theologians had approached Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq, and some of his theological arguments found acceptance with him. Then I traveled to Baghdad and did not leave a single jurist or theologian there without presenting these issues to him. There was not one of them except that he agreed with Abū al-ʿAbbās al-Qalānisī’s position and was distressed over what Abū Bakr Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq had publicly expressed.” Al-Bayhaqī then said: “I say: The account is lengthy, and Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq returned to the way of the Salaf and regretted what he had said. And Allah knows best.”

@RaadIbnDawood I studied several prominent classical scholars and delved deep into them. I keep returning to ibn Taymiyyah he is by far the most superior, knowledgable in his words and deeds. He was a walking miracle and clear mujaddid and mujahid sent by Allah. He is the real hujjat al islam

Imam Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Zubayri al-Shāfiʿi (d. 318 AH), in the chapter “The Refutation of Those Who Denied the Hand”, commented on Quran 38:75, saying: ❝...If it were as the Jahmiyyah claim, that it means the hand of niʿmah (blessing), then it would have been one hand. But in the speech of the Arabs, the form yadayya (my two hands) is used only for the two hands belonging to one's own essence❞ #ClassicalPureShafiiyyah

The normalization and promotion of shirk and religious innovation are deeply alarming. John Starling is a Madinah graduate who has worked closely with other graduates. Their silence regarding these grave errors only highlights the seriousness of this new wave of misguidance. You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah. If only the People of the Scripture had believed, it would have been better for them. Among them are believers, but most of them are defiantly disobedient. May Allah reward Shaykh Anwar Wright.

@MuslimBibliophi The main scholar who asharis rely upon was ibn Abi Umar qudamah and his family. Al Nawawi said he is his most prominent teacher. Hadith sciences (islam and sunnah is based on this) go through the Hanbali/salafis/atharis

@MuslimBibliophi Alot of Hanafi commentaries on Tahawi rely on ibn abi Izz. Even maturidi and Ottoman hanafis rely upon his work despite him being student of ibn Taymiyyah. Ibn Taymiyyah and his students are too high level scholars to ignore. Everyone bases their deen indirectly on them: dhahabi

@MuslimBibliophi Its ibn Hajr salafism and atharism that he had in him by Allahs guidance that made him a great scholar. Not his kalaam ashari influence. His pro hadith pro salaf. He learnt al Darimis works via al Mizzis transmission and others.

@MuslimBibliophi Al Dhahabi, al Mizzi, ibn Kathir, ibn Abdul Hadi, al Birzali: ibn Hajr al Asqalani drank ZamZam water to reach the level of al Dhahabi in hadith sciences. The Atharis are the top notch scholars the other sects are all lesser scholars: al Zamakshari, ibn al Hummam, al Ghazali

@Nazaratives Its a sufi view. Since ahluh bidah came together you can call a sufi an ashari or an ashari a sufi. Nowadays they are known for asharism combined with sufism. They officialy married in the time of al Ghazali. Sufis were athari before, like Abdur Rahman al Sulami anti kalaam

"Ustad" Abdul Rahman al-Hasan claims that Abu Talib died a Muslim according to the Ash'aris (around 07:00). Could any of his fans dig in reasonable evidence to prove that Abu Talib is considered a Muslim in the Ash'ari school? Most of anti-Ash'ari stuff on internet by Salafis is absolute junk, just that someone with a decent knowledge did not yet get the time to take them to account. youtube.com/watch?v=rRSJDu…

If you plan to visit history in Syria only as a *one time* thing, then I don't recommend going just yet There's a lot of work to be done, once everythings repaired, cleaned up, tour guides, electricity, as well as props like horses, catapults & stuff you'll never want to go home
