Of course I’d pick up an awful cold 5 days before going into hospital for a procedure. It’s been rescheduled 3 times so really need it to go ahead. Any tips for getting rid of a cold quickly?

@JustMissEmma Oh my goodness! Go to the press if you can. That’s appalling! Or maybe your local MP? Shout up if we can do anything to help? Xx

Oh hello! How the jeepers are you? Do you remember that thread I posted about the historic failings of our private care company, and how we wanted to give our carers a little extra on Christmas Day? Well… that little factual thread has resulted in said company giving me 28 days notice and removing my care. Apparently, wanting assurance that vulnerable disabled adults are secure, safe, and basic structure in place to ensure no abuse continues is simply not acceptable. How did we get to a position that our local authorities are giving rolling continuing contracts to private organisations, without any communication with the actual residents or patients to safeguard them…. and ZERO accountability? I’ve never been more frustrated in my entire life. We may be in wheelchair’s and disabled, BUT WE DESERVE TO BE HEARD!! @lpoolcouncil you need to hear us! #DisabilityRights #WeHaveVoices #ListenToOurStory

@alit224 @DiabeticDadUK My son has had great service from omnipod and dexcom. Only thing with dexcom is they never allow room with the timing of deliveries for error. Like for example a sensor falling off a few days early etc x

@DiabeticDadUK I’m having a terrible time with omnipod 🫣. I’m still on libre, and they seem to be much better than they used to be at replacing promptly! I’ve found Omnipod’s customer service/ care department atrocious 😭. Makes me want to go back to multiple daily injections

@TeacherBusy In Nottinghamshire we have 5 weeks summer and 2 in October and it’s so much better. One week after that first half term is not enough for the staff or the children it’s such a tiring half term settling into a new year. Not sure why other LA’s haven’t done this x

I’ve said it before and I stand by it now, I’d happily give up a week of my summer holiday to have two weeks off in October. It’s already Thursday of half term for us and I am not well rested and I’m not ready to go back next week. This term is too long.

The unsolicited advice hypo alert. *Big hugs* Try treating your hypo with 13.75g of carbs and four salt and pepper croutons from Waitrose. Have you been checked for chicken pox? My uncle once mistook chicken pox for a hypo. Might be cancer, of course. #AlternativeCGM

@CassHT I did it.. I now do yoga weekly at a class but I started in lockdown with Adrienne. I used to suffer with lower back pain but yoga keeps this at bay now and I’m much stronger and more flexible than I ever was. Yoga is fantastic x

The Hybrid Closed Loop news is exciting, isn't it? You might read many things on many sites. The media, as usual, will get some things right and... maybe be a little creative about other things 😄 Personally, I think it's wise to be patient (as usual) even if you're obviously eligible. I suspect the hardworking #Diabetes teams will need some time to get everything right. So, I'll be waiting for my next appointment before making enquiries. It'll happen 💙😊 #GBDoc #T1D
