The Supreme Court’s decision to weaken the Voting Rights Act makes it easier for our voices to be silenced. Section 2 of the VRA was created to stop racial discrimination and protect minorities access to equal political representation. When we lose those protections, it becomes easier to pass restrictive laws and draw maps that weaken entire communities. And when we lose our voice, we lose our power, often resulting in unmet needs. That’s how you end up with worse outcomes, from healthcare to economic opportunities. In Ohio, gerrymandering has impacted us firsthand, with representatives like Mike Turner, who doesn't listen or act on people’s needs. In this country, your voice should matter. Send me to Congress, and I’ll fight to make sure your voice is not only heard but protected.

I had the pleasure of attending a memorial event with @SherrodBrown, Union Leaders, and Montgomery County officials. We honored 124 workers that lost their lives from work-related incidents in Ohio last year. These are workers that have not been able to return home safely to their families and just 1 is far too many. I support our local Union chapters and their continued fight for work-place safety. This administration continues to push for under-funding and regulation cuts to protections that keep our workers safe. As your representative in OH10 I will fight for workers rights because when we fight-we win! I will work with Senator Brown to ensure that OH10 has robust Unions, funding for workplace safety, and return protections for the federal workforce. It was also an honor to take pictures with the Purple Heart Honor Guard. Jerry Ferris, a three-time Purple Heart recipient, coined me! Mike Turner’s cruel vote is set to kick 63,000 hardworking Ohioans off of SNAP, and could cost the state nearly $400 million.
