John Roberts' verdict on Citizens United in 2010 allowed unlimited amounts of dark money in US politics, abandoning all limitations & transparency. Roberts also voted for Trump's immunity. John Roberts is the 2nd greatest culprit in the destruction of US democracy after Trump.

Apartment hotels only work when the landlord can come in with a couple of goons and throw your ass on the street as soon as you’re intolerably late on rent. Hampering the eviction process makes the math just stop working.

We used to have these. They were called Apartment Hotels. They’d consist of a single room with a bathroom, housecleaning, a cafeteria and lounges. Imagine being able to rent month to month and not need to furnish an apartment. It was ideal. Nuts we got rid of these.

This stuff is rhetorically very flowery and makes you think that if we abolish private farmland and RETVRN to the communalism of the pre-enclosure Middle Ages that we will all be free and have our woman in sundresses breezily twirling around in wheat fields all day.
Meanwhile most of the evidence is that the Enclosure Movement (i.e. making the big communal fields into discrete private property) in part helped in breaking the Malthusian trap by causing England's food security and in turn population to increase even before the Industrial Revolution.

I think the overarching idea that we have to respect the culture of our immigrants is a huge mistake that must be rectified.
We must no longer respect the culture of our immigrants. They must respect OUR culture, or we send them back home.
Now I'm not saying they can't maintain links to their home culture, but they must adapt to our culture. In the last 50 years this was just a suggestion. It must be a requirement.

@MorlockP Well a week ago nobody was posting images of a 4000km circle with its center in Iran. That is not to say they have some super weapon they are holding but they literally have shown strategic and tactical capabilities that they aren’t using to start It’s possible they’re others.
