Per MPD spokesman: In reference to this afternoon’s incident in the 3600 block of Jay Street Northeast, MPD’s investigation has revealed the injured 12-year-old boy accidentally discharged a weapon injuring himself. The incident is now classified as an Injured Person to the Hospital. The boy was transported to an area hospital conscious and breathing.

Numerous shots can be heard being fired as police were clearing out a car meet last night at the Brandywine Crossing shopping mall on Crain Highway in PG County. Nobody was ultimately found shot & I’ll have an update in the morning on if police took a report.

DC SHOOTOUT CHAOS--- in the area of DCFD Engine 19, 2813 Pennsylvania Ave SE. Firefighters reported lots and lots of gunfire. So far, a man has been found in a shot-up auto at Penn Branch (3200 blk Pa Ave SE/ 3200 blk O St SE) with injury to the back of his head (he is talking). Police are looking for other possible victims. Several people took shelter in firehouse during the shootout. h/t @DCNewsLive and @HCBright10
