Gabe Rubio is a guy we've never heard of, had horrible college production over five seasons, and is a bad athlete for his position. But considering how Day 3 has gone, this tracks with what Omar Khan has been doing.

@ASaunders_PGH @kindelburgh Approximately 10.8% of NFL starters are drafted in the 4th round. On a roster such as the Steelees, which is actually pretty good, the odds are lower. It’s also a bad draft which makes the odds lower. But go on.

@ASaunders_PGH Oh I don’t think so. Not at positions of need for the Steelers. Why do you think the league was taking late round tight end one after the other in the third and fourth rounds? Why is there reach after reach? Look at Jacksonville. This isn’t a coincidence. It’s a bad draft class.

@ASaunders_PGH So making the team is more valuable than contributing and scoring touchdowns? That makes no sense. No one drafted in the 4th round this year would have beaten out any of their starters and likely not their backups. It’s late in a bad draft, something you refuse to recognize.

@ASaunders_PGH So you go with a guy who is below mediocre who isn't going to make your team because he is higher on a consensus board as compared to a KR for example who is guaranteed to play on gameday and contribute. That’s why you are a blogger and not an NFL executive.
