@Ross_McCorkle Probably the guy who was drafted for the role, not the one who was just passed around practice squads for a year after nearly being Mr Irrelevant

@JWR10476 @colin_dunlap @OConnor7 She’s in local politics, dipshit. She does not have any say in federal tax codes. Don’t even know her, but a woman making 70K is not the rich in Tax The Rich

@kindelburgh @colin_dunlap @OConnor7 Wait, don’t millionaire’s and billionaires use the tax codes that our Government created? So all they’re doing is following the law. Shouldn’t you be mad at those that can change the tax codes 🤔And how do you know she doesn’t take advantage of any tax breaks?

Pittsburgh city council woman Barb Warwick wore a “Tax The Rich” hat to the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy Spring Hat Luncheon. The cheapest ticket was $350. She makes $87,000+. This lady is beyond a lunatic.

@colin_dunlap @OConnor7 And she is taxed accordingly on her earnings you dumb fuck. Unlike millionaire and billionaires who get loopholes and government tax breaks off the backs of underpaid employees. Real nice world you’re cultivating for your kids, dipshit

@OConnor7 It isn’t. Not even close. But it is a decent salary for a public servant — particularly one who just argued to elevate that salary on the backs of taxes of others.

@pensfan826 @ChrisMuellerPGH There is no path for the Pens to actually be contenders next year. Malkin doesn’t block anyone and we have to reach the cap floor somehow. Some of yall are too video game brained to think we’re acquiring a true second line player with picks and mediocre prospects to offer

@ChrisMuellerPGH Did they win? Does he bring speed? Are you factoring injuries and age? He missed 21 games this last year due to injury. At what point does production outweigh the ability to win postseason?

@CarneyMedia Trading up for Broderick Jones over Christian Gonzalez was a colossal blunder. Yes we took JPJ next. Imagine taking both. Steelers would never, but look at Eagles w Mitchell and DeJean…

Once again - what an overreaction from Poni (but then again, are we surprised?). The #Steelers gave up just one of their two 4th round picks for a need at LT. Jones was playing very well this season before his neck injury. Khan was still able to get JPJ, Benton, Herbig, & Spencer Anderson in that same draft class so to say this set the Steelers back years - more than a first round QB that only lasted two seasons is just fact that you rather continue this clickbait BS than actually put intelligent thoughts out on here or the radio.
Andrew Fillipponi@ThePoniExpress

The Steelers declined Broderick Jones 5th year option. That pick was WORSE than Kenny Pickett. And set franchise back even more. Traded out of Christian Gonzalez. Could have drafted JSN. Or Calijah Kancey from Pitt. Brutal job.

@CarneyMedia A better point to make is at the time we had Dan Moore Jr as a starting LT and Chuks at RT. Tackle is right behind QB for importance. And we got a comparable CB to Gonzo later

Rust/Rakell/Karlsson on the trade block, Mantha/Skinner to UFA, Malkin 1-year deal, keep getting younger
UrinatingTree@UrinatingTree

Some basic thoughts on the Penguins: - I think Malkin gets brought back for one season. He fills the Sergei Gonchar/Jiri Hrdina mentor role for the younger Russians, even if his skills fade. Perhaps a two year deal, but the second year can be bought out if all goes to shit. - Letang needs a Come to Jesus talk. He was an absolute liability for long stretches of time, even if he was respectable for the final three games of the series. He's trying to play like it's 2016, yet doesn't have anywhere near the athleticism to compensate these days. It's like Polamalu's last season with the Steelers: Just sad. Either he has to change his game to a more reserved style or he's getting a one-way ticket to Robidas Island. Extreme, but shit's dire with him. Thanks for making his last two years buyout-proof, Hextall... - Anthony Mantha can get his bag elsewhere. Let the Kraken sign him to a six by five or something. - Clifton and Dumba, thanks for the second round picks, but there's the door - What happens with the rest of the defense? Do Karlsson and Wotherspoon get traded at peak value? It's obvious it needs overhauled to hell and back, but how much does? - I'd love Connor Dewar and Ryan Shea back, but they're the kind of guys that get drastically overpaid on the FA market. Young enough to not fall to shit, but the fear of Ryan Graves lingers... - Speaking of Graves? Might be time to buy him out. It's a bust. - Noel Acciari might be a casualty due to his age and a bunch of younger guys knocking on the door (Tristan Broz) - I'm hoping Ben Kindel's hurt, because the dude was invisible on the ice most of April - Resting the starters after clinching home ice fucked the Pens in the end. It sapped them of momentum which took them too late to get back. - What happens with the vets? Do the Pens still try to go another year with the old core or start shifting to younger guys? Jason Robertson and Robert Thomas might be for the taking. Do they strike or feel the price is too rich? The Pens can take this offseason in a bunch of different directions. I'm interested to see which path they take.

@MPFrazer I mean guys like James Pierre, Ben Skowronek, Connor Heyward, Carson Bruener and so on competed at a high level under him. The team just failed to address the KR position and punter well (tried with Johnston and he got hurt) They had several blocked punts, often got pressure

You actually just explained why Danny Smith was less of a ST coach and more of a mascot for the Steelers. He had a generational kicker. Outside of that, where did the Steelers excel at ST?
Kevin Smith@KTSmithFootball

Was Kaden Wetjen a reach for PIT in the 4th Rd? Consider: * PIT ranked 21st in punt return avg last season, 29th in kick returns. * PIT has just one PR TD this decade, no KOR TDs. * Wetjen's PR avg in '25 was 26.8, #1 in FBS by far. * Has 6 return TDs the past two years.

@Steelers_DB ESPN has a gambling ad every minute, has hosts picking bets every show without even so much as a betting record, has their own sportsbook. Much more concerning than NIL is gambling being shoved down throats of sports consumers.

NIL has done infinitely more good than bad for kids and their families. However, now that more young athletes have access to more money than ever before, it’s imperative that there is some sort of support system in place from the school/inner circle/etc to prevent kids from flushing their talent down the drain. I had a conversation with a scout earlier in the cycle and we were talking about how NIL has changed their process/board and this was one of the things he brought up: The NFL used to worry about how kids would change when they got money. Now, they already have it. In some instances, that’s a bad thing.

@dan_antonacci15 Year 1 & 2 of the post-Ben era was muddied by Colbert reaching on Pickett. Since Khan took over he’s invested in a line and started adding weapons for a QB to come into the league without guys like Dan Moore and Kendrick Green blocking

@kindelburgh We can disagree regarding the QB position, your stance is fair. I think they could do better than 42yo Rodgers who can’t move and refuses to get hit, with a 6th rounder in Howard and a 6th round talent in Allar - it’s been 4 full years since Ben retired.

Those drafts were the biggest positive of Omar’s tenure. Free agency has been mostly bad, salary cap management has been average/fine, HC hire was an absolute embarrassment, and we’re still at square one Post-Ben. If he’s going to draft like this, he needs to go.
Alan Saunders@ASaunders_PGH

The #Steelers first three draft classes under Omar Khan were very well regarded, mostly because of his ability to move around the board to find value while meeting the team's needs. That all went out the window in 2026, as the team left a ton of value on the table in an underwhelming draft class. steelersnow.com/saunders-steel…

@dan_antonacci15 They are attempts to find competent QB play. Long term will always come from the draft. Cant say Khan is bad until he swings and misses at QB. And he hasn’t had a chance. Teams don’t tank, it’s not a thing.

@kindelburgh Fields is the only one that can be considered an actual effort towards the future and it lasted 6 games. Russ and Rodgers are just attempts to win 10 games and make the playoffs, offers nothing long-term.

@SteelersNetwork @MaxBurghh Which is wrong. Leal was not blocking Feheko. He wasn’t getting a helmet because he couldn’t beat out Montravius Adams and Isaiahh Loudermilk. Leal and Feheko don’t play the same position on the DL

@dan_antonacci15 And has added Howard and Allar to the room despite the bad classes. It’s just the state of the position. Even Darnold would have been a bad choice in a team with Tomlin’s OC choice

@dan_antonacci15 What would be the solution? Two straight terrible QB classes. Dart and Simpson elevate floors, not ceilings. We don’t need to lock in 7-8 win QBs. And Tyler Shough will be retiring a few years after his rookie deal. Khan has tried every year with Fields, Wilson, Rodgers

Biggest surprise by far of the draft -- no ILB. Steelers showed considerable interest in the class up and down and it was a deep group. Run on them in late 4th and 5th probably did it in.
