russian forces have attacked the oil and gas facilities of Naftogaz Group today. Drone strikes targeted several assets simultaneously in the Poltava and Sumy regions. There is damage. Thanks to the professional actions of the @SESU_UA and company specialists, a fire at one of the sites was promptly extinguished. Equipment has been shut down and a damage assessment is underway. At the time of the attack, personnel were in shelters. Fortunately, there were no injuries.

We met with representatives of the @IMFNews. We discussed completion of the current heating season, the company’s financial standing, key priorities and challenges. We paid particular attention to the strategy for financing equipment needs and gas imports in 2026 to ensure a smooth passing through the upcoming heating season. I briefed partners on the consequences of massive russian attacks on oil and gas infrastructure facilities. Despite this, the company is ensuring the stable operation of the system and an uninterrupted supply of gas to consumers. We separately discussed joint actions with the Government regarding the implementation of corporate governance reforms at @NaftogazUkraine and at the Group’s companies. Many thanks to our partners for their trust and support.

Naftogaz Group appreciates the EU offer of financial support and technical assistance for the reconstruction of the Brody pumping station’s infrastructure assets in accordance with the highest European engineering and safety standards and to prevent further terrorist attacks. Together with EU Deputy Ambassador Gediminas Navickas, we met with a technical working group. Jointly with Ukrtransnafta management, we provided our partners with detailed information about the consequences of the russian attack on the Druzhba oil pipeline infrastructure. We discussed the current state of affairs and presented a systematic reconstruction plan. We exchanged views and outlined the next steps for joint action.

Last week, the newly elected Naftogaz Supervisory Board began its work. The first introductory meeting with the renewed composition was chaired by Ukrainian Prime Minister @Svyrydenko_Y. The main tasks and priorities were outlined — increasing production, developing international partnerships, fulfilling the special obligations assigned by the state to ensure the supply of natural gas to the population, as well as the company’s active participation in implementing plans for the energy resilience of the regions. Following this, the newly elected Supervisory Board held its first meeting, met with the Management Board of Naftogaz and the management of the Group’s companies, and adopted a number of organizational decisions. Duncan Nightingale was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Kostiantyn Marievich, the state representative and State Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, was elected Deputy Chairman. The formation of a professional and independent Supervisory Board is an important step in the further development of Naftogaz. These actions by the Ukrainian Government are aimed at supporting corporate governance reform and ensuring a consistent approach to implementation.

A meeting chaired by Ukrainian Prime Minister @Svyrydenko_Y was held with fuel market operators, the @MinEnergy_ua, the Ministry of Economy, the Antimonopoly Committee, and the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection. Despite the largest crisis in the global oil market in decades, caused by hostilities in the Middle East and disruptions to logistics chains, the Ukrainian market remains stable, balanced, and diversified. The situation in Ukraine is objectively better than the EU average. This is primarily the result of the experience we gained in 2022 and the crisis response mechanisms that have since been put in place. We held a detailed discussion with market operators on fuel supply for March, as well as the volumes of planned imports for April and beyond. The unconditional priority remains the needs of the Defence Forces and critically important sectors of the economy — in particular the agricultural sector during the sowing campaign, emergency services, and other key sectors. Special attention was also given to the needs of frontline regions. Fuel retail networks, together with the Ukrainian Government, are acting in a coordinated and aligned manner to prevent any disruptions in fuel supply. I thank the Prime Minister for the swift response to the requests and proposals from market participants.

Together with the @MFA_Ukraine, we held a special briefing for representatives of foreign diplomatic missions on the consequences of russian attacks on the infrastructure of the Druzhba oil pipeline. Representatives of 31 countries took part, including members of the Group of Seven and Ukraine’s European partners. We presented comprehensive materials on the nature of the attack and its consequences, including photo and video recordings from the scene. Diplomats were also informed in detail about the challenges our colleagues are facing. The restoration of this infrastructure is a complex technological process that requires time, specialized equipment, and work under the constant threat of repeated russian strikes. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, russia has carried out more than 400 attacks on Naftogaz Group facilities. In 2026 alone, more than 30 attacks have already been recorded. @NaftogazUkraine, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, continues to inform international partners about the consequences of russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and about the progress of restoration work. I thank Ukrainian Foreign Minister @andrii_sybiha and Deputy Foreign Minister @YPerebyinis for jointly organizing this meeting. I also thank the representatives of all the countries that took part in the event.

Naftogaz has finally won a $1.4 billion court case against russia’s gazprom. The Swiss Federal Supreme Court has rejected gazprom’s appeal in full and upheld the June 2025 arbitration award, according to which the russians are obliged to pay Naftogaz more than $1.4 billion in debt for gas transportation services, plus interest, and legal costs. Naftogaz is working to enforce the debt collection from the russians. At the same time, a number of other lawsuits against the aggressor country are ongoing to compensate for the losses. I would like to thank the Naftogaz Group legal team and our international legal counsels for their coordinated work and the results.

During the official visit of the Ukrainian President @ZelenskyyUa to Romania for talks with President @NicusorDanRO and Prime Minister @Bolojan, substantive agreements were reached on strategic cooperation in the energy sector between the two countries, including in the oil and gas area. Priority projects and the first steps for their implementation were identified. We greatly appreciate the Romanian side’s experience in the development of the Black Sea shelf and are interested in developing joint projects based on this experience. Naftogaz Group is also taking practical steps to develop cross-border gas infrastructure and supply American LNG through the Vertical Gas Corridor. The fuel crisis caused by developments in the Middle East is widely discussed today. All European countries are facing difficulties, but in this area Romania has firmly stated its readiness to be a reliable partner for Ukraine. I thank President Zelenskyy for his leadership in the negotiation process. I am grateful to the Romanian side for a constructive and open dialogue, support, and readiness to develop mutually beneficial cooperation.

For two days in a row, russia has been attacking oil transportation infrastructure in southern Ukraine with UAVs. Damage and destruction have been recorded at one of the pumping stations. Fortunately, the are no fatalities. This is far from the first attack on different sections of our infrastructure. Why did the russians deliberately strike with drones and destroy the pumping station of the Druzhba oil pipeline in the city of Brody? Sooner or later we will learn the truth. But the reason for the deliberate attacks on pumping stations in southern Ukraine is obvious — to make alternative supplies of non-russian oil to Europe impossible. Units of the @SESU_UA and the company’s specialists are working to eliminate the consequences of the shelling. In total, since the beginning of this year alone, russia has carried out more than 30 attacks on Naftogaz Group infrastructure facilities.

I had the honor of taking part in a meeting between Ukrainian Prime Minister @Svyrydenko_Y and President of France @LEmmanuelMacron. We briefed him on the consequences of russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s oil and gas infrastructure. In particular, we provided comprehensive information about the russian strike on the Druzhba oil pipeline infrastructure. We outlined the scale of the damage, the progress of our response and recovery efforts, and the current technical condition of the facility following the attack. France reaffirmed its intention to continue supporting Ukraine’s energy sector. We also discussed Ukraine’s efforts to strategically transform its energy sector and the implementation of Regional Energy Resilience Plans, which the Ukrainian Government is advancing together with regions and communities. Particular attention was given to the potential for greater involvement of French businesses in developing distributed generation and strengthening Ukraine’s energy system. Naftogaz Group is interested in deepening cooperation with French energy companies and equipment manufacturers.
