A baby waved at me at a restaurant earlier. I waved back and lil bro started giggling and flapping his hands. His mom thought it was cute and asked if I was a dad. I said "I wish. Maybe one day." She gave me a sad look and told me I'd be a good dad. The longing is physically agonizing at this point lmao. Tomorrow is my 30th birthday. If I'm not at least in a committed relationship this time next year I'm just gonna have to go be a monk or something.

This sounds like one of my narcissistic mother's wine fueled tirades. She gets around a box (or 2) of wine deep and starts calling people, leaving drunken messages, threatening to call cops for fabricated charges, and threatening lawsuits, bragging about her connections and her masters degree. We are all supposed to be intimidated by and impressed with her "knowledge of the legal system," and, upon sobering up the next day, begins the shame and rage cycle. It becomes a feedback loop.
