TRIBUTE to RT Hon Raila Omolo Odinga (1945-1925) As we all come to terms and mourn with the family and friends of the departed, we also gather to honour the life and legacy of Rt. Hon. @RailaOdinga — a statesman whose unwavering commitment to justice, democracy, and the people of Kenya transcended borders in Africa and the world. Among his many contributions, Raila’s dedication to the Kenyan diaspora stood out as a true reflection of his global vision for an inclusive, united Kenya. He consistently championed the rights and recognition of Kenyans abroad, advocating for their participation in national development and governance. His efforts helped strengthen ties between Kenya and its global citizens, ensuring that the diaspora remained an integral part of the country’s social, economic, and political fabric. Notably, Raila’s engagement with the Kenya Diaspora Technical Working Group (DTWG) in Kenya underscored his belief in meaningful collaboration and the power of dialogue. I clearly recall, through that meeting, he not only listened to the aspirations and challenges of Kenyans abroad but also inspired actionable pathways to harness their expertise, investment, and innovation for national growth. His vision for a Kenya that values all its sons and daughters—whether at home or abroad—remains a guiding light for both current and future generations. In remembering Raila Odinga, let us ALL celebrate a leader who gave voice to the voiceless and built bridges where others saw barriers. His legacy of unity, inclusion, and service will endure in the hearts of Kenyans everywhere. As the saying goes, Fear Not What Kills the HEART, but fear that which kills the SPIRIT. He was an ENIGMA and his SPIRIT will remain so in our hearts and minds for many generations to come !!! May BABA’s soul rest in Eternal Peace !!
