Kratom consumers and advocates, here is an important update from across the country. Our voices are being heard, but the fight is far from over. Thanks to the hard work of activists speaking up, contacting lawmakers, and sharing their stories, we are starting to see some positive movement in places like Georgia, Kansas, and Iowa. Lawmakers in those states are beginning to reconsider efforts to ban kratom, and that only happens because people like you refuse to stay silent. This plant has helped so many people rebuild their lives. People managing chronic pain. People walking away from alcohol and dangerous drugs. People searching for a natural way to improve their quality of life. Kratom has changed countless lives for the better, and that is exactly why this fight matters. But we are not in the clear yet. California is still a mess with conflicting proposals. Idaho now has a bill moving that could ban kratom entirely. Several other states are preparing hearings and legislation that could determine whether responsible adults keep access to this natural plant or lose it. Right now advocacy is happening all across the country. In Tennessee the kratom hearing has been rescheduled. Advocates who showed up earlier this week made a real impact. Lawmakers noticed. Now we need to keep the pressure on and make sure common sense regulation wins over prohibition. Minnesota will be holding a hearing that could shape the future of kratom access there. While the bill proposes a 21+ age limit, anti kratom groups are expected to push for stronger restrictions or even an outright ban. Responsible consumers need to show up and make it clear that kratom users support safety and consumer protections, not criminalization. Arizona lawmakers are currently reviewing a bill that would strengthen responsible regulation and consumer protection standards. Senators need to hear directly from the people who rely on this plant so they understand how important it is to keep kratom legal and properly regulated. Virginia recently passed a deeply flawed kratom bill that could create serious problems for responsible consumers. Advocates are urging the governor to fix the bill with amendments that protect consumers without creating unnecessary barriers. Michigan is also facing a major threat. A new bill would classify kratom as a controlled substance and effectively make it illegal. That would criminalize responsible adults who simply want access to a natural plant that helps them. The next few weeks will be critical. If you use kratom responsibly, your voice matters. Lawmakers need to hear real stories from real people whose lives have been improved by this plant. Advocacy works. We are already seeing proof of that. Kratom is worth fighting for. Keep speaking up. Keep educating others. Keep showing lawmakers that prohibition is not the answer. The advocacy movement is strong and growing. And together we will keep fighting to protect this plant and the people whose lives depend on it.

Right now several states across the U.S. are considering major restrictions or outright bans on kratom. Here is a quick look at what is happening: Kansas lawmakers recently passed a Senate bill that would classify kratom as a Schedule I substance, placing it in the same category as drugs like heroin. The proposal is now moving to the House for consideration. In Tennessee, a proposal known as “Matthew Davenport’s Law” would prohibit the possession, sale, and distribution of kratom across the entire state if it becomes law. Michigan lawmakers have introduced legislation aimed at banning kratom statewide, citing concerns about addiction. Utah legislators have taken a different approach by targeting highly concentrated kratom products. A full ban was proposed but ultimately dropped. Illinois is also debating several new measures that could increase the legal purchase age to 21 and add stricter limits on sales. At the same time, some states are moving in a different direction by adopting consumer protection laws. These focus on product testing, clear labeling, and safety standards rather than criminalization. Millions of adults responsibly use kratom for pain relief, recovery support, and overall quality of life. The conversation should not be about prohibition. It should be about smart regulation that protects consumers while keeping access to a natural plant.
