Chlorophyll, prebiotics, probiotics, maybe vitamin D, omega 3, magnesium, and a good women’s multivitamin. What am I missing?

DETOX” IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK IT IS
The word detox gets used everywhere, but your body already has a highly advanced detox system built in. Your liver, kidneys, gut, lungs, and skin are constantly working to filter, break down, and eliminate waste. The goal is not to “force detox,” it is to support the systems that already do it.
Many of the herbs listed here have been used traditionally and do contain compounds that can support aspects of health. For example, turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties, ginger supports digestion, and milk thistle has been studied for liver support. But claims like “cleansing liters of blood daily” or removing a fixed percentage of toxins are often exaggerated and not grounded in strong clinical evidence.
What actually supports detoxification is far more consistent and less flashy. Hydration helps your kidneys function efficiently. Fiber supports gut health and waste elimination. Adequate protein allows your liver to carry out detox pathways. Sleep, movement, and reduced alcohol intake all play a measurable role in how well your body clears waste.
Herbs can be part of a healthy routine, but they are not a shortcut or a replacement for foundational habits. And not every herb is safe for everyone. Some can interact with medications or underlying conditions, which is why context matters.
The real question is not “what can I take to detox?”
It is “how well am I supporting the systems that detox me every day?”
Focus on what works consistently. Eat real food. Stay hydrated. Move your body. Sleep well. Manage stress. That is what keeps your body functioning the way it was designed to.
