You only have half the information as what I observed after talking with few Disability partner 1. Zomato does not provide wheelchairs or any assistive devices to delivery partners with disabilities. 2. Zomato does not inform customers in advance. The delivery partner with a disability has to call the customer after reaching and request them to come down and collect the order. This sometimes causes frustration, and some customers refuses to come down. 3. If the customer refuses, the delivery partner has to transfer the order. In that case, they earn zero money and also cannot get new orders for the next 30 minutes. 4. Zomato does not give any extra payment to delivery partners with disabilities. They are paid the same as other partners. 5. On paper, it may look like Zomato is doing great work. But in reality, many delivery partners with disabilities struggle to earn more than ₹500–₹700 per day by working 8-10 hrs because they cannot complete as many deliveries as others. 6. Even some delivery partners with disabilities use modified scooters with side wheels, but Zomato does not mention on the order page that the delivery partner has a disability. Because of this, customers sometimes do not understand their situation.

Zomato just called me before a delivery to let me know my delivery partner uses a wheelchair and if I could come at the door to assist with the handoff. Two things about this. 1- that Zomato has wheelchair-enabled delivery partners at all. 2- that they built a process around it. A real phone call, a heads up, a small ask. Just quiet operational inclusion weaved into the workflow, I’m impressed!

In Mumbai’s Mira Road, a man allegedly asked strangers to recite a religious phrase and stabbed them when they couldn’t. Zaib Zubair Ansari, a US citizen who reportedly lived abroad for 19 years, allegedly attacked two security guards in the early hours of 27 April. According to reports, he asked them to recite the Kalma, and when they could not, he stabbed them. The victims, Rajkumar Mishra and Subroto Sen, are currently undergoing treatment. The Mumbai Police arrested the accused within 90 minutes using CCTV footage. The case was later handed over to the Anti-Terrorism Squad after investigators reportedly found extremist material on his phone. This incident is deeply disturbing, not just because of the violence, but because it points to a dangerous mindset that can emerge even in educated and urban environments. The question is simple.
