It’s been a long time dream of mine that I publish a book with @ivpress. Now I get to publish two! In English and in Spanish! There’s so much more I could say about this but Twitter only has so many characters. I’m grateful. 💛

I saw “Barbie” this week with my wife. Here are 3 simple thoughts: 1️⃣ The film is a satire. (A very unique one I might add.) The point of a satire is to tell a story in a way that shocks you so your eyes are opened to reality. /1

My current pastor with my pastor when we lived in Miami. 💛 Pastor Rick has gone to be with Jesus. He will be deeply missed.

Women of the faith, you get to have your own relationship with Jesus and love him with your whole MIND as well as your heart and soul and you dang well can study theology without permission from a man. This has gotten so bizarre. Go ahead. Knock yourself out with insulting replies. You religious misogynists are so far gone from Christ’s example in regard to women that I’m entirely unbothered by your opinion.

@RuthMBuchanan I think I’ve always considered myself a writer since it’s something I’ve always done and enjoyed. But in 10th grade my English teacher gave us an assignment and he returned my paper with a W at the top. W for writer. I’m thankful for that W. It gave me the confidence I needed.

What’s a cautionary tale you spent too much time worrying about as a kid? My great uncle once told me about his retina randomly detaching and “rolling down like a window blind.” “If that happens,” he told me, “GO TO THE ER.” This was 80% of what I worried about from age 9-15.
