@DmytroKrasun @Alennushkaa Ideally, you sell your startup for a healthy sum and live off the SP 500 freedom for your hobbies. But that first part is really hard 😄 And putting your life on hold for the grind is draining. There’s probably a balance somewhere. I just haven’t found it yet.

@Alennushkaa Capitalism rewards specialization and unique valuable skills. You get higher in most hierarchies. If the money question or status doesn’t bother you much, you are pretty lucky to do whatever you want. Ironically, sometimes it works better for money, but not always.

I have about 4 major interests in my life. I want to pursue them all, and not just do like a hobby, but to dive really deep, and build something meaningful and valuable in each. This makes me feel alive. Does a person really need to specialize in only one thing? Isn’t it the feature that was artificially enforced in the industrial age to tie every person to one specific task in a factory? I don’t really want to limit myself. But sure, it’s impossible to do everything at once. And you can do anything, but not everything. I think the solution can be to focus on one thing at a time.
