@gw850 I like him and think he suits us but £60m is a real max and I would say that is including add ons. If its more then whats the point. I still think we need abother 5 or 6 players after him. Worrys me as I think we only get 3-4 first team players

He’s got baggage based on his on field antics too, whether people want to try and defend that or not. Personally just doesn’t feel worth it at all.

Honestly, just let him go to Chelsea at this point. We’re looking for value for money, which Chelsea have absolutely no interest in, and Brighton are understandably going to drive the price up. Rumours he prefers London too, so makes no sense on the face of things.

I think what I mean though is if the club had both players in their shortlists I would prefer the younger guy with what seems to be a very high potential.
