... but in this case, it is a real privilege in German academia to be offered a permanent position at one's academic home and in the city where one's family lives. And it *is* of course a privilege to work at LMU Munich and @ifkw_lmu!

I guess that it is now official that the German Research Foundation has awarded me a Heisenberg grant and that LMU Munich has offered to institute a Heisenberg professorship of communication with a focus on media use and history. It is common to say that "it's a privilege..."
