@Thizlam87 @Brandon_Warne Because the edge of the ball is still over the line. That small sliver of brown is not wide enough to account for the full width of the ball. If any part of the ball is over the line (not necessarily touching), it's fair.

@eyesopen3374 @markowea @Brandon_Warne You have to take a cross-section of the widest part of the ball, and turn it into a cylinder. If that cylinder in any way touches the line, fair ball.

@manny_4227 @showmethewayrj @Brandon_Warne This angle is incredibly deceptive. You would need an angle directly down the line. If any part of the baseball is over the line, it's fair. In other words, if you take the widest part of the baseball down, and that cross-section touches the line, fair ball.

@TJenkinsTampa @YoRonnieRoach @MLB No problem! Just wanted to make sure that others coming in got a proper understanding. It was mostly correct, anyway.

@Kritty_Cat @YoRonnieRoach @MLB Yes, should have noted that the one base was in reference to the hitter and the situation here given the ball was lodged at the mound.

@TJenkinsTampa @YoRonnieRoach @MLB The batter is awarded the base, and other runners are advanced to whatever base the umpire deems would be reasonable (which is why Kurtz was not allowed to score from third on the play).

@YoRonnieRoach @MLB No, umpire was correct to blow it dead. Play is blown dead if a ball is lodged in a catcher’s mask, an umpire’s gear, or a player’s uniform and players are awarded one base.

@RobOstrom @ESPNCleveland Brogdon wasn't the issue - he did fine. Armstrong shot the team in the foot with 2 walks and a HBP.

@ESPNCleveland Vogt totally botched the bullpen tonight. Gaddis was dominant and only threw 12 pitches. Should have kept him in or gone straight to Sabrowski. Then he pulls him for Brogdon who sucks.

@JennyM29308864 @RageOhio_ @MLB @peacock The problem with comparing gold and platinum gloves is that you're comparing two different players competing against two different pools of players for their award. The years that Arenado won, he had very little true competition for the award. AL competition is just fiercer.

@RageOhio_ @MLB @peacock Respect to JR right back, but he’s still 66 HRs & 230 RBI’s behind him (& I realize he has 175 games less but no way he makes up that difference in 1 season, obvi). For a 3B, I prioritize defense & his 10 GG’s & 6 PG’s over steals-JR is amazing but I’m still rolling w/ NA overall

@diorpaybacc @NBA The defender doesn't make any indication of lost balance until his left foot lands on his teammate's foot, but feel free to be ignorant about this. I'm done arguing this with someone who is so willfully ignoring the facts that are being shown to them.

@diorpaybacc @NBA That angle clearly refuted your claim that the shoe had no part in it. He obviously has his balance until he steps on his teammate's shoe, at which point his foot slides out and he falls backward. Mitchell doesn't have his arm half as far out as the second video you linked.

@cbjimw8 @SusieM414141 It's the law of averages. I'm not sure how much simpler I can make this for you. It's like talking about rolling a die. I can say the average on a traditional 6-sided die is 3.5 (or 4 if you want to round it). That doesn't mean that every roll will be a 4.

@Kritty_Cat @SusieM414141 It absolutely IS an assumption. The fact that the average family is 4 does NOT mean every person suffering from ANY thing is IN a family of four! Sheesh on a cracker.

@cbjimw8 @SusieM414141 It's an average for a reason. Some have more, some have less. I was just stating that, based on the worldwide average family size of 4, each Celiac person would have an average of 3 family members. It's not assumption, it's applying averages.

@Kritty_Cat @SusieM414141 First, yo assume all the 1% celiac folks have three family members. And even if everyone of them does, it is STILL, imo, BS to expect every food preparation place to cater to that low number of people.

@cbjimw8 @SusieM414141 1% of people have Celiac disease, sure. What you're not considering is their family also cannot just go out to eat without them. The average family size is 4ish people worldwide. Those family members cannot just have gluten unless they are *very* careful to not cross-contaminate.

@CamKmarkets @grok @elonmusk I mean, the requirement to have states check their rolls with federal databases is already a huge increase to executive power. Right now, all responsibility to maintain voter rolls is with the state. The federal government plays no role in that at all.

@CynthZee @SenFettermanPA The whole point of the SAVE Act is to stop illegals from voting. If there are not millions of illegals voting, then the SAVE Act is being proposed to solve a nonexistent problem. 2+2 = 4.

@CynthZee @SenFettermanPA There are no "millions of illegals" voting. That's the point I'm making with this whole discussion. Based on the Heritage Foundation itself, there are less than 4 non-citizen votes per presidential election. That's a minuscule amount, and would do nothing to affect the results.

@CynthZee @SenFettermanPA You know, I never once called you names or anything. Also, shutting down debate by accusing someone of something as inane as "TDS" is a telling sign that you have no intention to do your own research or learn. Also, you literally laid all blame on the Democrats right here.
