@Camandrkreen that’s fair, i just see other popular mmos (like ff14) get challenging endgame content on a much regular basis n that helps the game a lot imo

i lowk think rs3 could be one of the games of all time if we had more bosses at “endgame”

@iShroudey @RuneScape I'm pretty sure the wiki has the wrong rates for these guys, I saw 2 hoods and 4 growth potions before a blue seed, sure it's anecdotal for but such a rare disparity it should be a massive outlier to see 1 hood let alone 2.

@TheoryWiseOS There's plenty of side quests that aren't needed to hit max level if you want to spend 2 days questing instead of half a day, but for those who don't have interest in that and want to get to the instanced content that wow excels as, you don't have to.

@TheoryWiseOS You misunderstand the point of levelling in retail. It's not to make the xp bar go up, it's to introduce the player to the new zones, factions and storylines before they unlock endgame content. It's the chill "welcome to your new home" and artificial friction wouldn't improve it.

Retail WoW should remove leveling at this point. It's a hollow vestige of an actual RPG. Blizzard can't balance it. It's fundamentally broken. It takes no effort or patience. It doesn't teach you how to play. It doesn't show off the world because it's so flitting. There is nothing positive about the leveling experience in this game anymore, and Blizzard has demonstrated time and time again how little they actually care about it.
