Welp, it was a decently fun right while it lasted. I’ll enjoy these last 4-6 chapters to the end.

Momo’s amnesia also prevents her from knowing she lost her powers; thus, further weakening their group and bolstering CSG’s group. Bad things happen romantically at the same time bad things happen in the sci-fi plot. Its connected

@G0ffThew I mean, none of this can exactly means that the way Dandadan is handling it is "good storytelling" when it feels like we just keep adding what feels like arbitrary plot developments to pad out the romance between the MC's for audience retention

DANDADAN SPOILERS: One hurdle shounen romance enjoyers have to overcome as that side of the genre approaches the dramatic complexity of shoujo: just because a story beat makes you feel bad, doesn’t make it “bad storytelling.” A good emotional roller coaster needs a few big drops.

@G0ffThew And unfortunately for them that’s what Yukinobu Tatsu read in preparation for Dandadan. Personally I’m loving the drama of this part of the story, and it’s annoying that all people want to see is the end where Momo and Okarun are together. You have to earn that!!

@G0ffThew The complaints are insane to me. People clearly just want to read a modern shonen romcom like Blue Box or Fragrant Flower where the couple gets together relatively quickly and then they’re dating for the rest of the story. People dont have the patience for shojo cliche anymore

@wanderjegson I mean Okarun’s really going through it emotionally right now with Momo forgetting him and now theyre fighting every time they see each other. Add on him seeing that she doesn’t fight with Jiji and you can see why he would be uncertain about everything. Its is also his first love

My problem with this chapter isn't even Aira, she's always like this, but i thought Okarun was a smarter

@dojoscene How is Banjo a plot device? He’s one of the more vocal former OFA holders and he occupies the same space in the story as everyone else. Star is one because she showed up and died just to nerf Shigaraki and give everyone more time

I like Ui Ui resuming the life sucking Binding Vow too, Mei Mei put a stop to it and trusted Kusakabe with being the new leader until his death but Ui Ui abusing his position when he gets in control for the sake of spreading his Mei Mei gospel makes enormous sense
