Since its inception, the Red Raider Caucus has expanded its membership to include not only Texas Tech University alumni but also legislators who share a commitment to supporting and fostering the university’s vision for growth. This weekend, the caucus’ first stop was Amarillo, where we visited the Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine. Then, we traveled to Lubbock to meet with university leaders and local elected officials. Before the football game on Saturday, the caucus had the opportunity to tour the International Center for Food Industry Excellence as well as two university departments that are working on national defense projects. While the game didn’t turn out the way we were expecting, we are looking forward to expanding student opportunities. Thank you Congressmen Arrington and Babin, Senator Perry, Representatives Burrows, Tepper, Smithee, Frank, Wilson, Moody, Landgraf, King, Sherman, Shaheen and Representative-Elect Fairly for joining us this weekend! I’m in Anderson County today for a#SaveRobert hearing; unfortunately the judge denied the motion to remove Judge Evans from #RobertRoberson case. It was startling to hear the Asst. District Atty say “all of this is just to smear the judge and our office.” All we are asking is for the facts of the case to be tried fairly.
