Eschatology is the biblical study of end time prophecy. Eschatology taught incorrectly creates fear. Eschatology taught correctly grows FAITH. On another platform were earnest questions by Christians seeking to understand the Rapture. As many already know that I am Pre-Trib in my beliefs, I lovingly discussed the scriptures with each on that thread asking them to pray for Holy Spirit discernment in all things Holy and to let the Spirit guide them as the word says, “testing all things”. Below is the study I created this morning connecting the “Mystery” Apostle Paul relays. If you enjoy reading, I’ve broken down the study into 7 steps. ______________________ The Hebrew Wedding & Christ’s Prophetic Timeline Teriann Shrum A Beautiful Picture of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture The Mystery Unlocking the Hidden Picture of Christ and His Bride For centuries, the ancient Jewish wedding customs have held a beautiful secret — a living picture of Jesus Christ and His Bride, the Church. In this study, we will uncover the mystery that has been hidden in plain sight throughout Scripture, revealing one of the most powerful and hope-filled truths in all of God’s Word. 🔥 Step 1 – Betrothal (Shidduchin) Jewish Custom: The groom pays the Mohar (bride price). This was not a ransom, but a beautiful token of love and honor. It showed the great worth of the daughter to her parents and honored the time, sacrifice, and love they invested in raising her. Fulfillment: Jesus paid the ultimate price with His own blood — not as a ransom, but as a powerful expression of how deeply He values and loves His Bride (the Church). This completely counters the lie that we are unimportant to God. Key Scripture: 1 Peter 1:18-19 Timing: First Coming (The Cross) 🔥 Step 2 – Betrothal Period Jewish Custom: The groom returns to his father’s house to prepare a place for his bride. Fulfillment: Jesus ascended to heaven to prepare a place for His Bride. Key Scripture: John 14:2-3 Timing: Church Age (Present) 🔥 Step 3 – The Groom Comes for His Bride Jewish Custom: At an unexpected time, the groom comes with a trumpet blast. This trumpet is to call the wedding party and wake up the bride for the arrival of the groom. It is not one of the judgment trumpets of the Tribulation. Fulfillment: Jesus will return in the clouds with a shout and trumpet to catch away His Bride. Only God the Father knows the day and hour (Matthew 24:36). This trumpet is the last trumpet that ends the Church Age (1 Corinthians 15:52), not one of the seven judgment trumpets in Revelation. Key Scriptures: 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; Matthew 24:36 Timing: Pre-Trib Rapture (Before Tribulation) 🔥 Step 4 – The Wedding Ceremony (Chuppah) Jewish Custom: The couple enters the bridal chamber and remains hidden for 7 days. Fulfillment: The Church is taken to heaven. The marriage is completed while the Tribulation rages on earth. Key Scriptures: Isaiah 26:20-21 — “Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.” Revelation 3:10 — “I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world.” Timing: During 7-Year Tribulation (Hidden in heaven) 🔥 Step 5 – The Wedding Feast (7 Days) Jewish Custom: A great celebration feast is held for 7 days. Fulfillment: The Marriage Supper of the Lamb takes place in heaven. During this time, believers will also stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ (Bema Seat). This is not a judgment for eternal death or condemnation — it is an award ceremony where Jesus rewards His Bride for faithful service (2 Corinthians 5:10). Key Scriptures: Revelation 19:7-9; 2 Corinthians 5:10 Timing: During 7-Year Tribulation 🔥 Step 6 – The Presentation of the Bride Jewish Custom: After 7 days, the groom publicly presents his bride. Fulfillment: Jesus returns to earth with His Bride at the Second Coming. Key Scripture: Revelation 19:11-14 Timing: Second Coming (End of Tribulation) 🔥 Step 7 – The New Home Jewish Custom: The couple begins their married life in the home the groom prepared. Fulfillment: The Bride reigns with Christ on earth during the Millennial Kingdom. Key Scripture: Revelation 20:4-6 Timing: Millennial Kingdom (1,000 years)
