@Chris_Hohnholz @VOR_Radio Thank you for your service. I appreciate your insight. I never did serve, but believe it is an honorable thing to do. I have heard arguments from both sides, and you raise an excellent point here. 🎯

As one who formerly served, and who supports those who choose to wear the uniform, this is an absolutely horrible idea. It’s one thing when we are in a time of war and we must draft in order to fill the needs of the military in a time of crisis. But those times are rare and should remain so. The very concept of the Constitution is that men and women should be free to pursue lives of life, liberty, and happiness on their own terms with minimal limitation by the government. To require military service is to give the government ultimate control over the lives of its people and to deny freedom to those who have not met the requirements the elite politicians place on them. It never ceases to amaze me how a group will quickly abandon the concepts of freedom if it means they can impose their own will and ideology on others. This is moronic and should be resoundingly rejected.

@LizzieMarbach I don’t know if Catholic apologists know this or not, but “venerate” is considered a synonym of “worship.” They need to turn to God from idols, and serve the Living and True God.

This an example of trying to find loopholes and outsmart God. It’s idolatry and an abomination.

@JustinPetersMin So true. It is not loving to identify Catholicism with Christianity. Rather, it is like allowing a blind person to walk in front of a speeding bus. We must lovingly warn Catholics of their folly, and proclaim the Gospel, that they might be saved!

Jesus is the Head of the Church (Eph. 5:23). Pope Leo is the head of the Roman Catholic church. Let this post stand in perpetual testimony that the RCC is not part of the Bride of Christ and the Pope has nothing to do with Jesus.

@megbasham Agreed. Whether he posted it for clicks/humor/edginess/etc. or not doesn’t matter. It is still wrong and should be taken down ASAP with a humble apology immediately following. I thank the Lord for President Trump, but this is not right.

I don’t know if the President thought he was being funny or if he is under the influence of some substance or what possible explanation he could have for this OUTRAGEOUS blasphemy. But he needs to take this down immediately and ask for forgiveness from the American people and then from God.

More particularly, evangelical Christians are the salt and light for America (Matthew 5:13-16). They’re the salt preserving America from being completely consumed by its passions and destroyed. They’re the light exposing sin and darkness and pointing others to Jesus Christ.

Can anyone recommend a Protestant podcaster who offers an apologia of our theology against Catholic theology who is a clear creationist—six days, global flood? I know there are some who do this who are local flood, symbolic creation type of people and I’m not interested in them. If it’s someone, for example, who would promote Biologos and Francis Collins or work with Biologos, I don’t want that guy. Is there anyone like this?

@AllScript_Alone @GentileJoeBC That’s a good point. If you only read what you want, interpret it the way you want, and reject nearly everything else, you don’t end up with much of the actual truth.

Tucker Carlson says that Esther doesn't belong in the Bible. Joel Webbon says that it doesn't matter if Jesus was Jewish. Andy Stanley says that we should unhitch from the OT. It's all variations on the same liberal theological theme.
