@HudsonHawk25738 @moak_ryan Part of the plan. God placed a veil to block our memory, to enable a true test of faith and agency during mortality.
English

@j_divis @moak_ryan Forknowledge does not show preexistence. There is no biblical explanation for preexistence.
English

@Andrew111962 @TheCatholicGuru @Latterdaytruth First, it’s about people that never existed, second you didn’t answer my question. I find that interesting.
English

@Kstce3 @TheCatholicGuru @Latterdaytruth It is a second witness to the Bible that truly solidifies that Jesus lived and so any church not believing that Jesus is the only way to heaven is out . And then seeing the apostasy of Christian churches that teach The Trinity , I see the need for a pure second witness of Christ
English

@TheCatholicGuru @Latterdaytruth I understand if that’s what you’ve been taught just remember that was 600 years after the Bible, after Jesus lived, was crucified and rose again. The Bible will give you more direct witnesses.
English

@Andrew111962 @TheCatholicGuru @Latterdaytruth Why especially the BOM? Do you put it above the Bible?
English

@TheCatholicGuru @Latterdaytruth Sorry you doubt Your LDS faith. I was there about 30 years ago. If I could get back those few years of not reading my scriptures especially the BOM . And the lack of Temple worship that I decided I did not need . I was so wrong and paid a spiritual price for that. I’m back100%
English

@TheCatholicGuru @Latterdaytruth Stick to the Bible my friend, it has everything you need.
English

@Latterdaytruth What made you realize the other churches are wrong.
Cuz I’m at that point too. Even with the LDS.
English

@mcodyw @MattTestifies There’s no proof of lots of things that we can pretty much tell there’s not. We know how to do DNA testing, We found evidence of many ancient American tribes. None from the Middle East. Then you got the book of Abraham not written by his hand like Smith said it was.
English

@Kstce3 @MattTestifies There’s no proof they didn’t exist. What if they did? And its teachings all point to Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer. Don’t trust me. Read in with an open heart and ask God if it is true. churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptur…
Some of my favorite verses:

English

@mcodyw @MattTestifies Much of it yes, the problem with the book of Mormon isn’t that there’s some good messages in it. It said it’s about people that don’t actually exist.
English

@Kstce3 @MattTestifies Yes, good point. But I think Matt's point is about drawing people to Christ. The Book of Mormon is how I first decided to follow Christ. Have you read it?
English

@Latterdaytruth It’s the universal church. Any church that follows the true God, the true Christ of the Bible.
Simple as that.
English

Jesus Christ’s Church is on the Earth.
It’s not the Catholic Church.
It’s not the Orthodox Church.
It’s not a general Protestant “church of all believers”
It’s the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
If you see this and feel the desire to comment hateful rhetoric about my faith, remember this: Fools mock, but they shall mourn.
English

@JaredHWood @John3101985 @MattTestifies Well sure some of the made up nonbiblical stuff is, but not Adam god talk or Mary getting pregnant physically by god. Stuff, is the secret handshake in there.
English

@Kstce3 @John3101985 @MattTestifies All of what you said earlier is in there:
“Each is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents … In the premortal realm, spirit sons and daughters knew and worshipped God as their Eternal Father”

English

I’ve spent real time investigating other faiths. Catholicism, evangelical Christianity, Judaism, Islam, even Buddhism. I’ve studied the Bible closely, read the Qur’an, explored the Torah, the Bhagavad Gita, and other religious writings with an open mind and honest intent.
What I kept coming back to is this: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only place where the doctrine, covenants, priesthood authority, and lived experience all line up for me. It does not just teach me about Christ. It binds me to Him through covenants, gives structure to repentance and grace, and answers the deepest questions I actually live with.
That conclusion did not come from tradition or comfort. It came from study, prayer, and years of testing what truly brings light, consistency, and change into my life.

English

@Kstce3 @John3101985 @MattTestifies It’s wild how hidden this Proclamation to the world is.

@GleasonMel652 @Latterdaytruth Restored? So Jesus was wrong when he said the gates of hell would never prevail that his words would never go away?
English

@Latterdaytruth I Testify that this is a True Statement.
Jesus Christ’s Church has been restored to the Earth. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
English

@buckteasdale @Latterdaytruth But it’s about people that never existed
English

@Latterdaytruth Read the Book of Mormon a teensy weensy bit more closely. It's written for you. It's a warning.
English

@latterdaylaura Why would something new be needed? We have known for a long time BOM people never existed and have known since the 60’s Book of Abraham was a lie.
English

@Latterdaytruth I imagine they will as wide is the gate that leads to destruction, and many will go there.
English

@John3101985 @JaredHWood @MattTestifies They also don’t tell new members about much of what they believe.
