my experience with @klm today i got a document saying they can’t give me a boarding pass though im checked in online instructed me to wait in a long check in line and then show the document (sent to my phone) to the agent i do exactly that, show it to the agent agent pulls out her phone, looks at me and says “i also have a phone, who cares? i need to know who you are” … show her my passport “oh ok you’re already checked in we couldn’t give you a boarding pass because maybe you’d have had to check in your hand luggage but you don’t have to anymore do you still want to?” … no? … ok here’s your boarding pass *throws dismissively*

It took me 4 days to travel back from @react_india. lots of flights back to Israel got cancelled. My home is in Ashkelon, 15km from Gaza. This video is what my wife and kids had to deal with. Every time I was boarding the flight I was not sure if they’ll be alive when I will land

I'm an aggressive person, but usually my aggression is of a positive valence. Like, I'll gently pat someone on the back and be like "YOU ARE SO AWESOME WOW IPAHEGIPAEHG" Today, I had to be aggressive negatively, as the airport security person refused to believe my medicine was medicine and insisted on tampering with it to absolutely 100% beyond a shadow of a doubt prove that it's not something one would use to build a bomb on a plane. This medicine is literally my source of life, without which I will die (more on that here youtube.com/watch?v=B8e1r2…), so I think it's pretty natural to have been that aggressive and have my survival instincts triggered. Still, I feel a bit bad since it was just a person doing a job, but to be fair he was doing is job very, very poorly: 1. Asked me "German or English?" I said English, and he proceeded to speak German. I reminded him "Umm, sorry—English", and he just shooed me away like a fly and did the second thing, which is 2. Absolutely eviscerated my luggage. Normally, airport folks ask me to unpack my own bag and mention what they're looking for and where. This dude did not communicate with me at all, and nigh tore my luggage apart. 3. When he started poking at the medicine was when I basically said "no, you do not touch my medicine. I've got a doctor's note in there. Give me the bag and I'll show it to you." After he ignored me, I repeated "Give me the bag" fairly sternly, when other airport staff showed up to check what the problem was. He eventually slithered away and his colleagues said "sir it's fine, feel free to take your bag and head toward your gate". Whether this was racially motivated or not, I can't say with any certainty but it sort of bothers me that there was no apology and that there's really no adjustment made at all, so this dude will probably continue this pattern since it's so easily excused. I hope things get better.
