If Stones had slipped 2 seconds earlier and had to take 4-5 quick steps and flail his arms out to avoid falling over. That would also be arms in natural positions.
Rules that are so wide open for different interpretations are just garbage rules.
I'd say if a shot is on its way to hit the target from within a specific distance away from goal, let's say 10 metres, and is stopped in an arm, that should be a penalty.
Even if you are only 1 metre away. That close to your own goal, you potentially save a goal by having the ball hit your arm. Natural position or not.
I guess teams would start exploiting this as well, like with any rule.
Handball is just garbage, because so many refs interpret the rules differently. Make more precise rules. Less grey areas, no in-between crap.
