Not True for all the fund managers.
If someone choose fund wisely , stay invested for longer period and let the compounding do it's magic then you can create good wealth.
Personally I invested during 2009 to 2013 in MF. Which is compounding at 18% CAGR.
Still holding .

The entire system runs on one simple thing, your continuous participation. Fund managers do not make money when you retire, they make money when you keep investing, when you increase your SIP, when you feel slightly behind & try to catch up. They are not selling you retirement, they are selling you the feeling that you are always one step away from it. And as long as you believe that, the only compounding that never breaks is their AUM.
