A lot of people think Point 2 is referring to eating with their hands. It’s not. It’s about picking up food from the buffet with their hands - bread, fruit slices, boiled eggs, cake slices etc. I have personally witnessed a hotel where they had to station a staff member near the bread basket just to inform some of us (Indians) to not pick up food with bare hands and use the cutlery provided for it. Needless to say we were horribly embarrassed as a family and actually saw people pick up food with their hands.Not just that. An indian woman loudly shouted ‘lift - lift’ for the lift as if she was in her society bldg calling out to her lift man. Some guests thought there was an emergency or something wrong with the lift seeing this hysterical woman yell Lift Lift !!!!

A Swiss hotel once displayed a list of special rules exclusively for Indian guests which I personally saw and was appalled.
Today, videos of garba in restaurants, loud conversations in airports, and turning aircraft cabins into picnic spots keep doing the rounds. Even in Davos, an Indian businessman blasted Punjabi music in a club so the whole town could hear it, calling it “soft power” but to everyone’s annoyance.
Japan earned global admiration through their courtesy and civic sense. If India wants to be a true global superpower, the world should remember Indians for its excellence, consideration and respect for others.
Our civic sense seriously needs to be upgraded.

20 years to Fanaa.. my daughter was 2 and a half years old and I was ——— 😜 but what I remember most was Poland in all its glory.. -27 degrees Celsius, beautiful forests and sleds 🛷 used on sidewalks .. ! And off course the fact that I wore a thin salwar kameez while most everyone else was dressed in goose down 🧐.. what a blast from the past!

Agree with @hvgoenka & @LalitKModi - and taking Lalit’s point further - how about having a B league like the EPL has the EFL where the bottom teams are relegated to & the top teams of the EFL promoted. wouldn’t that add to the excitement & create a place to nurture and find talent while creating more teams from more cities without adding to the IPL

A great article by my good friend @hvgoenka on the ACTUAL STATE OF OUR CRICKET. Some enlightening points like stadiums. I don’t agree on shortening the tournament. In fact it should be stretched elongated- ipl as a format could now move to a full window of home and away played for 6-7 months starting in November and played Thursday - Friday - Saturday- Sunday - the 94 games required under the structure proposed need to be adhered to. Bcci should now push this agenda thru. Bilateral matches if and when should be scheduled during rest of the year and at times between @ipl windows. For example they could be midweek. Or ipl paused for those week to allow bilateral window that season as is done in football. It’s inevitable that will happen
