@cents150 @Dexerto Second, bloodborne is practically feminine literature and you clearly have no media literacy. Pretty much all of the souls games have an undertone of feminism, but bloodborne makes it especially obvious and I have no idea how you missed it.

@YoRHa_Vi @DeltyThe73rd Cuz the frame's been in development for longer than E33 has been out. I believe in an interview with Tactical Potato right before Uriel's release, Rebecca said they had 7-8 frames already lined up for release. So it's definitely not inspired by E33, but a fun coincidence!

lara croft always had a distinctly feminine form, and her movement made that beauty feel personal and engaging. that's exactly why they ripped it away, to spite the men who admired her. form and motion are the two pillars of femininity and beauty. graceful movement makes us feel connected to the person we're watching. modern devs didn't want that, because they can't stand a woman who's both powerful and attractive. it exposes their weakness, and they fucking hate it. this wasn't done to "protect women," and it wasn't because anyone truly thought lara's original design was sexist. it was pure, bitter envy. male devs who hate being reminded of women they'll never have, and female devs who seethe at the beauty and attention they'll never get. and so they erase anything that makes a woman womanly. they want to ruin anything men enjoy, and anything prettier women are admired for. that's the real motive behind gutting lara. the erasure of her iconic, graceful acrobatics wasn't a redesign, it was a systematic stripping of her femininity. they didn't "update" her, they butchered her, replaced her with a hollow knockoff, and slapped her name on the new character they invented. it's one of the most blatant sexist acts of misogyny gaming has ever seen, and the fact @CrystalDynamics has managed to get away with this bullshit without facing any consequences is honestly pathetic.
