@Geopol_updates Fun fact, Italians limited the Eritrean education level to 4th grade(by law no Habesha could receive any higher education), it’s not until the confederacy with Ethiopia Eritreans started getting higher education.

#QUESTION: Welcome to Egyptian media, and you, sir, about Egyptian-Eritrean relation at their peak, and at a very intense momentum, with the understanding between you, sir, and president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi that laid the foundations of cooperation. What will the future of this cooperation look like?
#PIA: Honesty, in many different fields, this is historic strategic relationship that needs creating suitable mechanisms and channels for it.
The recent visit is a continuation of the same path so that we can reach the desired level of partnership between Eritrea and Egypt.

#Commentary: #Finfinne: History, constitution, and unresolved #Oromo questions
addisstandard.com/?p=56893
Teferi Tafa traces the history of Finfinne, arguing that the city was a thriving Oromo territory long before its imperial transformation into #Addis_Abeba. He details a legacy of dispossession and cultural erasure, noting, “What was once Oromo land became a garrison capital” that “systematically marginalized” its indigenous people.
Despite Article 49(5) of the Constitution recognizing #Oromia’s “special interest” in the capital, Teferi contends that successive governments have ignored these legal obligations.
He emphasizes that Oromo claims are not rooted in exclusion but in recognition and constitutional justice, noting that "the Oromo demand is for negotiation, not monopoly.”

@Nabadwanag In rear occasions, most of so called corridor projects are done by Ethiopian firms, my brother actually worked for one of the companies contracted to do the job on the city river, the Chinese did mainly high rise buildings, even in that case civil works are usually home grown.
