@bhnso probably they think it's immature and childish because that's how kids books often are, and they sometimes give away what's going to happen in a not so subtle way.

@Jaquento @thehorizon2b2t most counter intuitive thing - if you fall from a tall building vs a tree, you're falling slightly faster right out of the tree because you're closer to the center of the earth.

@thehorizon2b2t In the one hand, bigger planets usually do have more gravity, but the surface is also further away from the center. And then we have to ask about the planet's material composition. What I am saying is, is that there is no straight answer the question.

@CornIndividual @DrPepperMD @Grey_Athena eh, the rest of the south has a very common theme. south florida just doesn't fit it. you could say that about every regional area. like people from the actual Midwest, and people that really, really want everyone to know they're from the Midwest, but it's really just Minnesota.

@samacoree (not a gym bro, just some guy) a jumbo egg is about 8g. normal eggs are only 6g. 3 slices of bacon adds 12g. an oz of cheddar cheese is another 9g. a glass of milk is 8g. nickle and dime it. or have a couple of eggs with a cheeseburger! no shame. be happy and eat what you want!

@DrPepperMD @Grey_Athena And South Florida doesn't even get "Not the South." It's just greyed out like the Yankee states are.

american english compared to british english is just less specific to me. like a certain type of jumper is a sweater, but not all of them. a certain type of biscuit is a cookie, but not all of them. a certain type of chips are fries, but not all of them, do you get what I mean?

There are several Americans in my replies who seem to earnestly believe they are the only country in the world that is both large and made up of individual states.
Axio 🔶@axiochrono

@nocontextmemes This can be seen in the way they talk about themselves too. You ask an American where they're from and they'll always name their city or state. I'll never understand it. I don't tell people I'm from Berkshire when I'm on holiday.

@rusyator2 @justme172548 @soulightseekX they share a tendon, so it makes sense. and we don't use those fingers for pinching and grabbing, so the muscles are usually the weakest. I had to do a lot of excess hand exercises for piano when I was younger. when I say it hurts, I mean muscle strain. I can hold them down.

@kunktation maybe he means he stacked them up so he could stand on them to reach his favorite toy on the top shelf. or he stores them all in the basement because they're scary. so they are literally below him.

‘Moon’ is capitalized when referring to Earth’s Moon. It’s lowercase when you’re referring to other moons, or the verb. <peach emoji>

@MerriamWebster Pretty sad that we have no real name for our moon. Every dust grain flying around in space has got a name, but our moon is just the Moon. 😑

@doxie_gay you have to say that you are disappointed they don't take their jobs seriously enough as to return to the office to work through the night after dinner.

@manfromdelaware @crunchyrugger like I told my wife, I'd rather have a decade of democrats doing nothing, whining that they can't get anything done even with their majority then these clowns getting whatever they want done even when it's illegal.
